Facing Everything Without Pursuit

(Clearwisdom.net) On one occasion I felt rather uncomfortable because of a practitioner's words. After carefully looking inward, I discovered that my own intentions were impure. While being "nice" to others, I was always thinking about what benefits I would receive. This notion was hidden very deep within me. I realized afterward that compassion is a state of pureness, selflessness and doing things entirely for the good of others.

The reason we cultivate is to return to our original, true selves. Thus, we need to acquire our original pureness gradually in our everyday lives. How can we validate Dafa truly and thoroughly in the midst of this mundane world? It requires us to face everything with our purest hearts. Why do we feel uncomfortable sometimes? Isn't it because we did not receive the returns and fulfillment we thought we "deserved?"

Sometimes we become immersed in all sorts of sentiments and are unable to go beyond them. This is because we are in a maze and have not been able to leave selfishness behind. "I made this trip just for the sake of sentient beings." ("Descending to the Earthly World") We were originally translucent and carefree, with boundless wisdom and power. Teacher went through so much for our benefit. How could we still have any pursuits and not be truly compassionate to our fellow practitioners and sentient beings? If we could reach this standard, wouldn't that be the manifestation of an enlightened being's level? How can any human notions hurt us then?

The Fa is spread throughout this vast universe, so we should truly assimilate to the Fa in order to exist in the new universe. A being that assimilates to the Fa will naturally have the boundless happiness that the Fa brings at that level.

Relinquish all worries in this mundane world and take into our hearts all beings, selflessly and magnanimously. Use our righteous thoughts to create a whole new realm and welcome the Fa-rectification of the human world!
