The Evil's Interference With Fa-Study

(Clearwisdom.net) Today, I read an article written by a Canadian practitioner entitled: "Beware of the Evil's Assault on Fa Study" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/2/7/31840.html), and felt that the writer and I shared the same understanding on the topic of Fa-study. Master said,

I have had a lot of experience in this regard.

In 2000, a relative of mine learned the exercises from me. He said that he would share the practice with other people when he went back to China. Those were the days when the evil ran rampant, and I had only been practicing for a few months. I read Zhuan Falun again and again. As a result, I no longer felt fearful. I had only one thought for my relative then: I was going to support him in promoting the Fa in China. I made available to him the exercise CD (the ones taught by Master), and another CD that contained information from Minghui.net and all the Dafa books. He also insisted on bringing back to China a copy of Zhuan Falun, which he carried next to his chest. Before he left, I asked him to remember what Master said,

I asked him to remember this in difficult situations. At that time, he knew nothing about sending forth righteous thoughts and utilizing supernormal abilities, but he did know that as long as he trusted Master completely, everything would be fine. With this in mind, he embarked on his trip back to China.

When going through customs, an official asked my relative to stay behind because of some problems with his documents. The official asked him, "Have you brought the book with the yellow cover?" With the Fa in his heart, my relative was peaceful and pure. He was not sure whether the official meant Zhuan Falun (which has a yellow cover) or something else. So he asked calmly, "What do you mean by the book with a yellow cover?" The official replied, "The health card." To this, my relative said that he did not know he needed to bring that. Reminding him to bring the card with him next time, the official said that his supervisor wanted to see my relative regarding his documents. Upon hearing that, my relative was a little bit nervous, and thought about the Dafa materials he had brought with him. But he also remembered what I told him about what Master said. When he saw the supervisor, he did not say anything but silently recited Master's words "I am rooted in the universe. If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe." The supervisor looked at him while he was in this calm and peaceful state, and waved to the official, "Let him go." My relative then went home.

He shared this experience with me and said that that was his first tribulation. He said that if he had panicked, things would have gone wrong. But because he had the Fa in his heart, he was calm and fearless, and that was why he passed the tribulation.

During those days, I became very busy. Without knowing it, I spent less and less time on Fa-study and even when I did, I either failed to concentrate or fell asleep. Then I encountered much interference. My CD did not work and I had trouble playing the exercise music. There were a lot of problems with my printer and computer. I became so busy that I did not have time to do the exercises. I was in conflicts with other practitioners. Nothing was right, in fact. I knew that things were going wrong, but somehow I did not really understand why. I had been making efforts in truth clarification and sending forth righteous thoughts. Also, I knew that I was steadfast in the Fa and would never give the practice up. But what was the reason behind all these troubles?

I did not really look into the root cause, and because of that, I was stuck. I felt frustrated with myself and started to blame myself. I repeatedly asked myself why, with my determination to "steadfastly cultivate Dafa, the will unflinching," and to help Master in Fa-rectification, I still ran into so many troubles. I was very confused. One day, I glanced at the Zhuan Falun on my desk and suddenly I felt that Master was saying to me, "You have to study the Fa more." Finally I got the answer to my question. I resumed my Fa-study and everything became right again.

Through my cultivation, I have come to understand deeply why Master stresses the importance of Fa-study again and again. He said, "Study the Fa more." "The most important thing to do is to study Fa. No matter how busy you are, you have to study the Fa." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference") "You have to calm yourself and study the Fa." "Don't neglect Fa-study." "You have to study the Fa." Because if we do not do that, we will not be able to make even a tiny step in Fa-rectification, and we will run into trouble and create many unnecessary difficulties for the Fa.

In fact, the evil knows it so well that it tries all it can to interfere with our Fa-study. We will fall into its trap even when we slip just a little in Fa-study. So, when we run into barriers and feel confused, we should calm ourselves and study the Fa.

We must not forget what Master said, "Your righteous thoughts and everything you accomplish come from the Fa, so no matter how busy you are, don't neglect Fa-study." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A."). Let's deter the interference of the evil by studying the Fa more.
