Dear Falun Dafa practitioners of Colorado,

On behalf of Denver City Council District 6, I would like to wish you all the best on your first "Colorado Falun Dafa Month" and the celebration of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Dafa practitioners have been actively introducing the practice to the Denver community since 1998 and have set up an exercise site at Washington Park in my council district every Saturdays.

I am extremely concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China who have been detained and tortured because of their spiritual beliefs.

Recently I was informed that Dr. Charles Li, a US citizen was arrested on Jan. 22, 2003 at the Guangzhou airport in China when he went to visit his parents for the Chinese New Year. He was arrested simply because he practices Falun Gong. I hope that your effort together with the U.S. government will soon bring Dr. Charles Li back safely.
