Re: Falun Gong practitioners in China

Dear Minister,

I have had the opportunity to meet recently with Canadian practitioners of Falun Gong who are very concerned about the mistreatment and persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Government of China. I have written to your predecessor in the past about these on-going injustices. The protection of human rights must remain a priority for the Government of Canada, and that is why I am bringing this very serious and important matter to your attention.

In the attached documents you will find the details of relatives of Canadians who are persecuted and treated inhumanely. I urge you to review this information and make representations to the Chinese government so that these actions stop immediately. Further I urge you to call on the Chinese government to release these practitioners of Falun Gong who have been wrongly incarcerated.
