The "Law Training Class" Located in the Yingzhou District of Fuyang City, Anhui Province is in Reality a Place for Torture

The following are some examples of the inhuman conditions and abuse perpetrated upon Falun Dafa practitioners in the so-called "Law Training Class" located in the Yingzhou District of Fuyang City.

Falun Dafa practitioners were starved for six months. Every day each practitioner was given less than half a pound of starchy food with low caloric content. They were given vegetables only five times in five months. Some practitioners fainted several times due to hunger. The thugs in charge stole any amount of food from practitioners whenever they wanted to. They denied practitioners of their regular outdoor activities. One day last September, two practitioners were not allowed to have breakfast and were not allowed to go outdoors. Another time, three practitioners were not allowed to have lunch. The next day none of the practitioners were allowed to have breakfast, neither were they allowed to go outside, and they were not allowed to empty the chamber pot in their room [there was no bathroom in the rooms used for detaining practitioners; they had to urinate and defecate in a barrel]. In addition, they were not allowed to wash their faces or brush their teeth. On many occasions, the authorities would say that there was no flour left, so they wouldn't give us any bread to eat. Other times they would tell us that there wouldn't be any millet left for the next day, so they would not give us any porridge. The situation improved a little after October. We could eat until we were about half full, but it was still only one-fourth of what our ration was before they began using starvation tactics to torture us.

The authorities would torture practitioners anytime they liked. On July 25, Zhang Yi was whipped with a steel cable whip and shocked with an electric baton, and later was hung up from a window for six days until July 31. On August 25, when the thugs ransacked practitioners' rooms, they brutally beat practitioners Shi Yuping and Sun Xuexia and shocked them with electric batons. In addition, they stole the 35 Yuan which Shi's mother had given to her. They hung Shi Yuping from a window for 25 hours. They brutally beat Sun Xuexia for 25 hours. In addition, these practitioners were exposed outdoors to be stung by mosquitoes and other insects. On September 15, a thug named Zhang Ling demanded that practitioner Zhang Yu read a slanderous poem posted above her bed. Zhang Yu refused to do so. For this, she was beaten by Zhang Ling and kicked by the cook. They took it as pleasure to torture practitioners.

In January 2000, there was a heavy snow. The temperature was below 10 F. Practitioner Liu was detained for 17 days. He had no cotton blanket. He was stripped all his clothes and the thugs forced his head into the Cess pit [in China, simple toilets are made of walls around a pit in the ground. Urine and feces are collected in the pit]. The thugs then poured cold water on him. When they poured cold water on Liu, they took his head out of the pit. After they poured the cold water on him, they submerged his head in the pit again. They repeated this cruel torture many times. Liu's mouth, cheeks, and head were covered with feces. The thugs forced Liu to crawl on the ground naked, and attempted in vain to force him to reveal the name of the practitioner with whom he went to Beijing.

In the spring of 2000, Chenji Town in Fuyang City held a series of brainwashing classes. The thugs beat several practitioners until they lost consciousness and then poured cold water on them to wake them up. Practitioner Yu Liangying (female) was kicked hard in her groin area. The thug stomped on one of her feet and pulled the other foot with his hands, shouting, "I'll tear you apart!" Yu's left eye was burned with a cigarette by this thug. Practitioner Zhang Jingzhi (female) and Zhang Yunshan (male) were beaten until they lost consciousness several times and were brought back to consciousness by being doused with cold water. Other practitioners were wounded severely. Zhang Zixiu was severely beaten and Zhang's body was swollen badly. Ten practitioners were detained for over 30 days because they remained steadfast in their belief.
