Appeal for One Who Upholds Justice -- Ottawa Falun Gong Practitioners Actively Work to Rescue Charles Li (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Facing an endless stream of traffic, Garry kept turning his body so as to allow people on vehicles passing by from different directions to see the poster held in his hands. He hoped that more and more kind-hearted Canadian people would learn the fact: The Chinese government is wantonly trampling freedom of belief and violating human rights, and that it has extended this persecution to other countries' citizens. The passing-by vehicles also honked to show their support.

More than three years ago, Jiang''s political gang of scoundrels started a persecution against Falun Gong practitioners who cultivate "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance". The Jiang regime has never followed the law in dealing with Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners are not allowed to appeal and attorneys are not allowed to defend them. Tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been abducted or arrested and even directly put into jail without any legal procedures. Under the highest orders from Jiang that "It is considered suicide if Falun Gong practitioners are beaten to death", we keep receiving reports about practitioners' being tortured to death.

In the beginning of this year, American citizen and Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Charles Li went back to China to visit his family. The second he stepped off the airplane, he was arrested. The Chinese authorities accused him of "planning to interrupt TV transmissions controlled by the Chinese government."

Let's put aside whether there is any actual evidence to support this accusation; it is well known that in dictatorial China, information channels are blocked. The state-controlled TV system only allows one voice --the Party's. Over the past more than three years, under the cruel persecution, Falun Gong practitioners have been always following the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance". They have used different peaceful ways, including overriding TV broadcasting, with their wisdom and courage to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution to the Chinese people and to the people all over the world. Their actions of justice, especially in Mainland China, are at the cost of their freedom and even their lives. Their actions of resisting the tyranny of keeping the people in ignorance and striving for human rights and freedom are not only reasonable and lawful, but they also move one to praise and tears.
