China: Practitioners at Northeast Normal University Secretly Arrested by National Security Bureau During China's "Two Conferences"

(Clearwisdom.net) Three Falun Dafa practitioners associated with Northeast Normal University, all of whom have remained steadfast in their belief in Falun Dafa despite much persecution since July 20, 1999, were all secretly arrested by the National Security Bureau in March 2003 during China's Two Conferences (People's Congress and the Conference for People's Political Consultation).

Mr. Wang Guangtao, 30 years old, is a resident of Changchun City, Jilin Province with a master's degree from the Art Institute of Northeast Normal University, who has been cultivating Falun Dafa for eight years. In October 2000, Wang was detained for 15 days at the Daguang Detention Center in Changchun City. In July 2001, Wang received his master's degree; however the university did not release the graduate dispatch certificate [a certificate required to obtain a job after graduation] to him because he refused to write, against his conscience, the so-called "Guarantee Statement" to renounce Falun Dafa. As a result, he did not have a stable job, and was always on the go, making a living by taking temporary jobs. He was secretly arrested in March 2003 and his whereabouts are unknown today.

Xie Fei, male, 30 years old, a resident of Jilin Province, with a bachelor's degree, originally worked at the high school affiliated with Northeast Normal University. He has been cultivating Falun Dafa for many years. In early 2001, Xie was illegally detained at the Tiebei Detention Center in Changchun City. After returning to his work unit, he was dismissed by the high school. His residential dormitory, which was provided by his work unit, was taken back and he became homeless. In March 2003, Xie was secretly arrested, along with his wife (also a Dafa practitioner). Their whereabouts are unknown today.

Cai Ke, male, 31 years old, is a resident of Jilin Province with a bachelor's degree, who originally worked at the high school affiliated with Northeast Normal University. He has been cultivating Falun Dafa for many years. In July 2001, Cai was illegally detained at the Balibao Detention Center in Changchun City. Later he was dismissed by the high school. In March 2003, he was secretly arrested and his whereabouts are unknown today.
