On April 18, 2003, a brainwashing session was called off unconditionally in an area in Northern China. All Falun Dafa practitioners unlawfully held there have been released.

Wang Yinke, manager of Deshun Company Limited, is from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. He persevered in practicing Falun Gong and as a result his company was unlawfully searched and shutdown by the authorities on October 3, 2001. Mr. Wang was forced to stay away from his home. On August 30, 2002, he was abducted by officers on a stakeout in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, and taken to the Xinle Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City. In the detention center, Wang was deprived of sleep for twelve consecutive days and tied up in a steel chair for sixteen days. He suffered from other forms of torture as well. In March 2003, he was transferred to the Qiaoxi Police Department and remains under arrest.

Mr. Wang's wife Niu Minjie was secretly placed under arrest on September 25, 2002. She has been held the Xushui Detention Center in Baoding City and has been subjected to a series of such inhumane torture and abuse that she can no longer stand on her feet.

On April 21, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ren Yuhong was abducted from her place of work by police officers and staff from the company's security section. She was sent to the Hongweixing Brainwashing Class on Ranghu Road for persecution. Her older father and mother-in-law and her school-aged son have been left unattended.

Falun Dafa Practitioners, Including 10 in Benxi City, Are Unlawfully Arrested Across Liaoning Province around the April 25 Anniversary [of Falun Gong practitioners appealing outside the Zhongnanhai compound in 1999]

On the afternoon of April 14, 2003, Ms. Huang Meiling (female) was abducted to the Etouwan Brainwashing Center in the Qiaokou District of Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Her mother, who is blind and close to 80-years-old, and her unmarried son were left at home without being taken care of.

Wuchuan Township has converted a local bank into a brainwashing facility where Falun Dafa practitioners are being unlawfully held for persecution. Its public name is "Legal Education and Study Base." Falun Dafa practitioners once held in the facility include those from the Baiyin Company and those from the Yaqushui area in Baiyin City, Gansu Province.
