Front practitioners demonstrate Falun Gong exercises and rear practitioners perform during celebrations for World Falun Dafa Day

(Clearwisdom.net May 18, 2003) Falun Gong practitioners in Boston celebrated the Fourth World Falun Dafa Day last weekend. The State Assembly and the Governor issued proclamations of "Falun Dafa Day."

The celebrations began with a lion dance. Three Western practitioners shared their experiences and recited poems. Former Harvard Medical College employee Dr. Haiying He and several practitioners performed a chorus. He said that through the song he expressed how he misses his mother and other family members in China.

In addition to the performances, there were also a calligraphy stall, a photo exhibition exposing how Dafa practitioners are being tortured in China, video tapes and delicate watercolors by Falun Gong practitioner Rob Counts. Each of the paintings tells a different practitioner's story.

Falun Gong practitioners said that since 2000, practitioners worldwide have designated May 13 as World Falun Dafa Day to commemorate the first public lecture of Falun Gong's founder, Master Li Hongzhi, on May 13, 1992.
