Grandma Song Xianlian is 78 years old this year, and she came to know from TV
that the "self-immolation" incident of Falun Gong was staged, as well
as the fact that the Jiang regime made up murder cases to deceive people and
turn them against Falun Gong. She then clarified the truth to people in order to
expose these lies. Since then, Grandma Song's chronic diseases, such as
pulmonary tuberculosis, stomach problems, and nephritis, have all been cured.
She has benefited from practicing Falun Gong mentally and physically, and she
truly believes that "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" are good.
On April 16th, when Grandma Song was clarifying the truth, she was
seized by Wu Shaohong, a policeman from Guangzhajia Community in Ximalu
District. Wu dragged her for about 500 meters to the Xiong Jiatai Community
Services Center. The person in charge, Liu Xiaomei, verbally abused and tried to
intimidate her. The residential policeman, Men Hong, also threatened Grandma
Song by saying that she would be fined 400 Yuan* and detained. Grandma Song
remained firm and upright, so the police couldn't really do anything with her.
Eventually she was released from the community service center.
*Yuan is the Chinese currency. The average monthly salary of an urban worker
in China is 500 Yuan.
