Persecution By the Resident's Committee and Police Station in Majia Street in Linghe District of Jinzhou City

(Clearwisdom.net May 10) Under the direction of Jiang's regime, for more than three years, the resident's committee and police station in Majia Street in Linghe District of Jinzhou City, Laoning Province, have conducted brutal acts of persecution on large numbers of local Falun Gong practitioners. Their tactics have been extremely vicious, and this has resulted in a number of Falun Gong practitioners being illegally sent to labor camps, many being driven away from their homes and one practitioner being tortured to death.

Those who were put in labor camps include Shao Jinhua, Gong Shuxian, Wu Shuxian, Li Gang (junior), Wang Fang, Zhang Xiaoda, Shi Guilan, Yu Xiaoyan, Tang, Wang Dongmei and Chen Jingzhen.

Those who were driven away from their homes include Ma Haiyuan, Zhang Dan, Li Gang (senior), Li Yilin, and another practitioner Cao Yuhua who was on the police'wanted list. Some other Dafa practitioners had their homes searched and/or were forced to attend brainwashing sessions. Some suffered from persecution with forced injections of drugs and their bodies still have not recovered after a long period of time.

Shao Jinhua, female, was sentenced to one year of forced labor in June 2000. She was released in March 2001. After she came home, she and her 70-year-old elderly mother had to rely on each other to survive. In September 2002, Majia Police Station once again forcibly sent Shao Jinhua to the Masanjia Labor Camp.

Chen Jingzhen, female, is 57 years old. She was detained in a detention center on January 2001 for traveling to Beijing to make an appeal for Falun Gong. In order to not cooperate with the authorities, Chen Jingzhen went on a hunger strike for 10 days. When her life was in danger, she was sent to a hospital for treatment. She was diagnosed with uremia. The police did not want to be held responsible so they let her go home. However, when she was in a condition where she was just able to leave her bed and was still trembling while walking, a dozen police officers suddenly invaded her home at 2 o'clock on an afternoon in June 2001. They wanted to take her away by force. Chen Jingzhen firmly refused to cooperate with them. Deaf to her 80-year-old mother's pleas and cries, the officers carried Chen Jingzhen and threw her into a police van. She was sent to Masanjia Labor Camp on the same day.

Cao Yuhua, female, is 49 years old. Currently she has been forced to stay away from her home for one and a half years for being on the wanted list. On January 19, 2001, at around 8 o'clock in the evening, police officer Yu Rusheng and others from Majia Police Station came to her home and wanted her to write a guarantee**. She firmly refused the request. At around 9:00 p.m., the director of the police station, Wang Xuliang, and others arrived at her home and wanted to take her away by force. Cao Yuhua refused to cooperate with the police and was carried away by 5 police officers from the 4^th floor without a coat or shoes. The officers hit her hard on her head with a hard object and stated, "Let's torture her to death. Do not think of going home without [paying us] 30,000 Yuan.***" The police put her in a detention center. Cao Yuhua went on a hunger strike for 8 days and was sent to a hospital, where she became extremely weak. She was released on May 15. She had not yet completely recovered when political director Zhang Yingwei and others from Majia Police Station once again went to arrest her. Cao Yuhua was forced to leave her home. During the past one year, Cao Yuhua's younger sister and mother have often been disturbed and harassed by the police from Majia Police Station. Cao Yuhua's 80-year old father could not bear this kind of persecution anymore and became seriously ill. During the last period of his severe illness, he longed to see his beloved daughter one more time. Two months later, he passed away.

Du Baolan, female, was reported to the police when she was at a practitioner's home in July 2002. The emergency-response police took her away. She was tortured to death on that evening.

*Falun Gong practitioners are illegally arrested and sentenced in China against the freedom guaranteed by China's own constitution.
