Fa Rectification Stories From an Elderly Female Practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li is in her 60's. After April 25, 1999, the daily morning Falun Gong group practices were interrupted. Some fellow practitioners stopped showing up at the morning practice site. But, Ms. Li persistently came to the practice site on a regular basis at about 3:00 am every morning with her tape player.

One morning when she came to the practice site by bike, two "administrative personnel" approached her. One pushed the handle of her bike, and the other pulled the basket behind her bike seat, trying to push her away from the practice site. Ms. Li said in her mind, "I will do the practice, don't even think of pushing me away!" She resisted the two young men with all her strength. The two young men could not move the old lady. Ms. Li laid down her mat for the sitting meditation, but the mat was snatched away by the two men. Ms. Li found that she had another mat on her bike. To prevent them from snatching her tape player away, she did the practice while holding on to the belt of the tape player.

The two men then brought a speaker and played loud noise into her ears. A thought came to her mind, "I am a Dafa practitioner, nobody can move me and nobody can interrupt me!" The "administrative personnel" took away their speaker.

In July 1999, Ms. Li's family was also harassed because of her practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Li felt that there is nothing wrong with learning Dafa and to be a good person. The government should not persecute Falun Gong. Ms. Li and several other fellow practitioners then decided to go to Beijing together to appeal. But they were stopped at Tianjin on their way to Beijing and they were detained illegally in the yard of a technical college. That day, many Dafa practitioners were detained there. The police kicked and beat the Dafa practitioners who were reciting Master's scriptures. Ms. Li and fellow practitioners shouted out together, "Stop beating, for what reason do you beat people?" to try to stop the police from beating the practitioners. Later, they were taken back by the personnel from the local street police station of their hometown, and they were detained in small confinement cells. Each cell could hold only one person and had no windows. There was only a piece of broken thorny straw mat in the cell that was not good for sitting or for lying down on. Insects were everywhere. In the cells were also human discharges that smelled terribly. Ms. Li laid down her clothing and started doing the sitting meditation. The prison police forced her hands apart from the Jieyin position¹ and forced her legs apart from the double lotus position². She firmly put her legs in the double lotus position and put her hands in Jieyin position again. The police tried several times and finally they gave it up. When Ms. Li finished her sitting meditation and opened her eyes, she found that all the insects were gone. Her righteous thoughts shocked and awed the evil. At that moment she came to realize that she is a good person and she should not be detained there. She should get out of there. She then started to talk to the warden, "We practice Falun Gong and want to be good people. We should not stay here. This is not a place that we should stay at." The warden had to change her to a different room. She and fellow practitioners started to explain the truth to the wardens. Soon after that she was released. Later, Ms. Li went to Beijing several more times to appeal for Dafa and to validate Dafa.

One day in the fall of 2000, the local street police station illegally searched Ms. Li's home and they found a copy of Master Li's new article. They asked her where she got it, and she calmly replied, "I will not sell other people out." The police took her to the local police station and tied her up to a steel chair. By evening her family members came to ask the head of the police station and demanded to get her back. By that time she was concerned that her husband who did not practice Falun Gong might tell the name of the practitioner who gave her the article. She suddenly felt dizzy, and shouted loudly, "I am dizzy, I am having a headache, please help me...!" Her son and daughter-in-law ran to her and her son propped her up and questioned the police, "You troubled her too much and caused her old illness to come back. My mother had many illnesses before and all the illnesses are gone because she practices Falun Gong. If anything happens to her, are you able to take the responsibility?!" Ms. Li hinted to her son and said loudly, "All of you get out, I want it to be quiet for while!" Her son understood her and made an excuse and asked the police to leave. Ms. Li whispered to her son, "Tell you father, don't mention any other people's name. If anything happens, I will take it. We don't want to involve any other people!" "Don't worry, I will tell my father!" her son replied. The same night, Ms. Li was released.

One time, the police department got her to go to the department by deception. They told her that she needed to be at the police department for questioning. She remembered that Master Li once said,

She calmly faced the police. After she was questioned, she demanded to go home. But the police wouldn't let her leave. Soon her son came with 6,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] The police wanted to extort 6,000 Yuan from her son. She seriously said to her son, "Do you want to give them the money so they can use the money to persecute Falun Gong? They are swindling. They are violating the law while executing the law. You mother did not do anything against the law!" Then she sternly told the police, "You are a bunch of big swindlers. If you swindle money out of me, I will let the whole world know your dirty deed!"

She astonished the policemen and they sent her home in a car.

In 2001 when she was clarifying the truth to people in her hometown, she was illegally kidnapped by the local street police station. The police wanted to lock her up in a dark confinement room, but she firmly said, "I did not do anything against the law, there is no reason that I should be arrested and detained in the dark confinement room!" Several men tried hard to pull her in and to lock her up in the room but they failed. Ms. Li thought, "The police were also fooled by the deception. I want to explain the truth to them and to expose the evil." She talked about the benefits she obtained from practicing Falun Gong, the persecution of Falun Gong, the corruption in the society, the noble morality of Falun Gong practitioners, the extensive and profound content of Falun Dafa and why Dafa practitioners are telling the truth to the people. When she was talking, even the most evil street police station head was listening quietly. She talked for a long time. She felt that her thought was very clear and all the words she wanted to say seemed to be waiting right in her mouth. That night, she sat in a chair in the police station and sent forth righteous thought for the whole night. None of the police came to interrupt. In the morning, she asked Master Li while holding her hands in the Lotus gesture, "Master, I can not stay here, I need to go out to save people, please help me get out of here!" Ms. Li suddenly felt chilly through out of her body and her whole body shivered. The shivering even caused the chair she was sitting on to make noises. The police got scared and they sent her to a hospital in a hurry. Because of her resistance, they could not give her any injections, and had to take her back to the police station again. They then called her family members to the station to take her home. While her family members were negotiating with the police, she took the chance and explained the truth of the persecution to the police. When her family members were taking her home, she kept telling the truth about the persecution to the street merchants near the entrance to the police station. When she got into the car, she opened the window and explained the truth to the people who walked by.

After she got home, Ms. Li held up Essentials for Further Advancement and opened it. She saw that Master Li was smiling at her!
