Europe: Practitioners Call for Help to Stop the Persecution During the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers Meeting in Strasbourg (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net May 22, 2003) During the 112th Session of the Committee of Ministers held in Strasbourg, France 14-15 May 2003, some Falun Dafa practitioners from France, Switzerland and Germany went to appeal to the Foreign Ministers of various European countries and called upon the committee to squarely face and help stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China. The Committee is a body of the Council of Europe.

On May 15, 2003, practitioners arrived at Strasbourg at 10 am. They put up banners in both German and English declaring that Falun Dafa is good and to reveal the ruthless persecution encountered by practitioners in China. Practitioners practiced the Falun Gong exercises, sent forth righteous thoughts and distributed Dafa truth-clarifying flyers to passersby. The appeal concluded at 6 pm. The atmosphere was quite serene and harmonious. More than 2000 pieces of Dafa truth-clarifying materials were handed out.

A few days earlier, some practitioners visited representatives from 15 European countries in Strasbourg. They delivered a copy of the lawsuit filed against Jiang Zemin. They also asked the representatives to help rescue Ms. Xiong Wei, a student from Technical University of Berlin, who is wrongfully imprisoned in China.
