Comment on Zhang Qiyue's New Speech--Jiang's "Internal Affairs" Are Killing People

(Clearwisdom.net May 20, 2003)

Although crowned by Amnesty International as a "Human Rights Scoundrel," Jiang and his followers curse whoever criticizes their human rights violations in the international community as "interfering with internal affairs." The 2003 annual report from the Office of International Religious Freedom, U.S. Department of State, criticized the Chinese government's policies on religion and its persecution of Falun Gong. The spokeswoman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhang Qiyue, once again threw out "interfering with internal affairs" as a conditioned reflex. Therefore, let us see exactly which of Jiang and his regime's "internal affairs" the Advisory Committee on International Religious Freedom Abroad interfered with.

On June 10, 1999, Jiang established the "610 Office," which is a state-terrorist organization established by the central government and placed in every little town in China. Its job is to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, abduct Falun Dafa practitioners at will, put practitioners in brainwashing classes, and sentence Falun Dafa practitioners to prison or labor camps, thus creating many tragedies in families and different social environments throughout China. This is Jiang and his regime's "internal affairs."

Over the past four years, the policy followed in prisons, labor camps, police stations, and detention centers under the direction of "610 Offices" is that "one will not be held accountable for beating Falun Dafa practitioners to death; it will be counted as suicide." All sorts of brutal torture has caused at least 708 deaths. This is Jiang and his regime's "internal affairs."

Dictators always use "internal affairs" as an excuse to harm and kill innocent people. These kinds of "internal affairs" are so cruel and low that all organizations or countries should interfere with them. This is the reason why the principle that "human rights are higher than sovereignty" is commonly recognized. When the people in a country do not have basic human rights, their lives are harmed at will by the person in power. What is the meaning of their "sovereignty?" Hasn't this "sovereignty" become the right of dictators to kill people?

In the "internal affairs" of Stalin, millions of people were killed in the name of "elimination of counterrevolutionaries." The "internal affairs" of Hitler caused the deaths of millions of Jewish people. Today, Jiang's "internal affairs" have caused millions of Falun Dafa practitioners to be brutally tortured--many even to death--and have poisoned the people through the Chinese media's lies. We cannot tolerate and allow such "internal affairs" to continue operating. Let all of us stand up with justice to "interfere" with Jiang and his regime's "Internal affairs," which are harming people's lives. Let us use our righteous hearts to bring Jiang and his regime to justice!
