Jin Lanfang, a 53-year-old woman, was a Dafa practitioner from the Fracture Team Liaohe Oil Field in Panjin City. She was followed and illegally arrested while clarifying the truth on the afternoon of May 14^th. She is presently illegally imprisoned and is suffering from severe persecution.

Qiu Xueyan, a 33-year-old woman, graduated from Tianjing University. Due to the fact that she refused to give up her cultivation of Falun Dafa, after her graduation, she could not get her doctoral degree. Her whereabouts are still unknown.

On May 15^th, the police from the Suizhong Public Security Bureau surrounded the home of Han Fuqin, and illegally arrested Xu Chunxiang, who was trying to speak with Han's family. They also arrested another Dafa practitioner. According to the policeman who knew inside information regarding this case, Xu Chunxiang is now illegally detained at the Suizhong County Labor Camp.

On the evening of April 15^th, 2003, Yu Xiaoling was illegally arrested by the police. Since she refused to co-operate with the evil, on April 29^th the police secretly sent her to Jiamushi to continue to persecute her.

The policemen of Shangzhi city were afraid of being laid off, so they arrested Dafa practitioners and claimed the arrests as their own personal achievements. On April 28^th, Dafa practitioner Fan Shuying was illegally arrested and taken from the street. Around May 1^st, they arrested two Dafa practitioners under the guise that someone had reported them to the police. On May 7^th and 8^th, the police went to practitioner Liu Youming's home and said: "Someone has reported you to us. You will be released after you spend fifteen days behind bars." This way, Fan was tricked and was illegally detained. To protest her arrest, Fan Shuying went on a hunger strike. When her heart stopped beating temporarily, the police carried her home, fearing responsibility for her death.

Lu Shuzhen, a 52-year-old woman, is retired. She started cultivating Falun Gong in 1997. In the middle of July 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was sent back to Jilin City, Jilin Province, to be illegally detained for fifteen days. In 2001 she again went to Beijing to validate Dafa and returned home safely. On March 11^th, the local police again arrested her. She was first detained at the local detention center. About a week later, she was transferred to the Changchun City Women's Labor Camp and was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. At the end of March, when her uncle went to visit her, he was not allowed to bring her anything. The policemen sternly warned: if Lu Shuzhen refuses to change her stance on Falun Gong, from now on she is denied the right to have her family visit her. Lu Shuzhen's current situation is unknown.

Note: There are seven large teams at Changchun Women's Labor Camp where each team detains over one hundred Dafa practitioners. In total, there are over 700 Dafa practitioners who have been detained here.

On May 7^th, Li Qingrong was arrested when she was handing out truth-clarifying materials. She is now detained at the Nangang Police Sub-Bureau.

On the afternoon of May 15^th, in a residential building of the 211 Hospital in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, police illegally arrested three to five Dafa practitioners.

1) At the Shuanhe Labor Camp, the policemen specially sought out prisoners who suffered from venereal diseases to watch over Dafa practitioners. When they discovered any new Dafa articles, they would extend the prison terms of the Dafa practitioners.

2) The ID cards of Dafa practitioners from Qiqihar city were illegally confiscated for long periods of time, especially those of practitioners who were farmers. This resulted in difficulties while selling crops and has also caused a great inconvenience to their daily lives.

3) The previous party secretary of Heilongjiang province, Xu Youfang said: "Nothing can be too extreme in the treatment of Falun Gong practitioners." This was a speech made in public, which is against the law and violates human rights.

For almost four years now, since Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Gong, Yu Yimin refused to give up her cultivation of Falun Dafa. She has been illegally detained several times at both the detention centers and labor camps, and has received inhuman persecution in brainwashing classes. She suffered a mental collapse due to the persecution she endured, and can hardly take care of herself.

Several departments in Changsha city forced an unemployed practitioner, Hu Changcha, to cooperate with them in their search for other Dafa practitioners. If he failed to find the practitioners, his home at Chuxiang Street, Tianxin District in Changsha City would be confiscated. If he found the practitioners, he would get paid.

In the beginning, Hu betrayed Dafa practitioners and on three separate occasions brought police to meet Dafa practitioners. Since the practitioners trusted him, they still did not doubt him after they were able to get away from the police using their wisdom. They thought that the attempted arrests were merely coincidental. The last time Hu tried to go to a practitioner's home (this practitioner is currently on the Hunan Province's most wanted list), this practitioner refused to take Hu to his home. Hu did all but get on his knees to beg the practitioner to take him to his home so that the police could find out where he lived, and Hu would not be sentenced, nor lose his home. With the capture of this "most wanted" practitioner, Hu might even get a bonus. Faced with this situation, this practitioner unwaveringly refused to bring Hu to his home. After sharing and exchanging ideas with other practitioners, Hu finally spoke out the truth about his situation and gave the 200 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] that he had received from the police to the Dafa practitioners for making Dafa materials.

On May 15^th, 2003, an article slandering Dafa was published in the "Quick Report" section on page 2 of the "Law and Order Online" in the Jinzhou Daily. The writers of the article are Wang Yutang and reporter Hou Zhiwei. The editor responsible for "Law and Order Online" is Hou Zhiwei.
