In American dictionaries, the term "genocide" is defined as the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, cultural or religious group.

A typical example would be the Holocaust of Jews during World War II. It was the total destruction of all Jews. It's purpose was to exterminate the race of Jews on this planet. Nowadays, whenever people think about "genocide", they often think of the WWII Holocaust.

In the Eastern Battlefield of WWII, the Japanese military killed more Chinese people than Germans killed Jews. But Japanese atrocities were not counted as "genocide" because it was not a deliberate, systematic and planned extermination of Chinese people.

In a nutshell, "genocide" means a systematic extermination of a group of people (not limited to a race) whose sole purpose is to destroy the whole group. Traditionally, the perpetrator is usually a nation state.

As defined by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, " 'Genocide' means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: a) Killing members of the group; b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

In October of 2002, some Falun Gong practitioners filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin for committing the crime of genocide. [Part of Jiang's policy of genocide against Falun Gong practitioners has been "defaming their reputations, bankrupting them financially, and destroying them physically"] No other law other than the above "genocide" definition can more accurately describe the Jiang Regime's cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners during the past 3 years. Death cases of Falun Gong practitioners persecuted are reported daily on the Internet. There are numerous unknown stories of death cases that haven't made it through Jiang Regime's tight information blockade. The usual tactics of persecution are vicious tortures including electric shocks, tiger bench, water cell, deprivation of sleep, exposure to longtime extreme hot and cold weather conditions, physical fire branding, forced hard labor work, etc. Numerous practitioners were disabled due to the tortures suffered. They threw healthy practitioners into mental hospitals, injecting chemicals that alter brain functionality causing severe mental disorder. These practices of persecution have severely violated the first two categories of the ICC "genocide" definition.

In addition, the Jiang Regime is systematically disseminating numerous lies, defamation, and conducting vicious attacks against Falun Gong through its powerful state controlled TV stations, radios, newspapers and all the other media channels; forcing schools, government departments and various enterprises and organizations to also persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Consequently, Falun Gong practitioners cannot go to school, work, and conduct normal social life. Numerous families fell apart and were forced into homelessness to avoid arrest. A large number of Falun Gong practitioners cannot live a normal life. This is exactly the third category of the ICC "genocide" definition.

In fact the purpose of this campaign to exterminate Falun Gong is to eradicate the belief system of Falun Gong. All the means and tactics they are using to persecute practitioners are to force them to abandon their belief of Falun Gong, and ultimately to eradicate the existence of Falun Gong. They tried to transform practitioners mentally by forcing them to attend the brainwashing classes. The purpose of the transformation is to purge the principles of Falun Gong from the practitioners' mind. This persecution campaign is under the direct control of the 610 Office set up by Jiang. The goal of the 610 Office is to send out orders to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, so it is directly responsible for committing crimes of genocide.

The holocaust of the Jews was widely recognized years later. Today, if people realize the genocide against Falun Gong that is happening at present, and help to stop it, humanity will definitely enjoy a wonderful future.
