May 17, 2003 (Clearwisdom.Net) [Harbin, Heilongjiang] Female Practitioner Li Yanfei and Four Other
Practitioners Are Arrested By Police Waiting at Li's Home On May 16, 2003, the police of Daowai Sub-Bureau of the State Security
Department arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Yanfei of Harbin, Heilongjiang
Province from her home. They also took away all her Dafa books and literature.
After her arrest, the police have been hiding at her home. On May 17,
practitioners Ms. Jiang Shuhua and Ms. Wang Zhonglan were also arrested by the
police when they visited Li's home. Practitioner Li Xiuying and her daughter
were also arrested by the police waiting there. The police confiscated the
practitioners' Dafa books after arresting them. [Harbin, Heilongjiang] Female Dafa Practitioner Yu Shuqing Is Kidnapped By
Police About 2:30 PM on May 15, 2003, Ms. Yu Shuqing, a practitioner from Harbin,
Heilongjiang Province, was kidnapped from her home by the police. [Harbin, Heilongjiang] Police Destroy Truth-Clarifying Material Distribution
Sites About 3:00 PM on May 15, 2003, the police from Harbin City State Protection
Sub-Team searched five or six Dafa material distribution sites located in Harbin
211 Hospital and Hanbao Street. They confiscated the truth-clarifying literature
and took away about 15 practitioners including Zhao Qinshan, Wei Hongwei,
Xiaofeng (female), Wang, and young Yingying (female). This resulted in a very
big loss to Dafa practitioners. It seemed that the police knew a lot of
information about the material distribution sites. The practitioners are asked
to please watch for security issues. [Northeastern China] Banners Fly Atop the Credit Union Building At about 9:00 AM on May 13, World Falun Dafa Day, three 5-meter-long banners,
with red words on a yellow background, were hung on a credit union building
located in a city of northeastern China. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Police Arrest More Than 40 Practitioners
Under the Excuse of Controlling SARS Around May 5, 2003, the police of Laishui County tightly blocked all the
village entrances and vital traffic lines, hoping to arrest Dafa practitioners
under the excuse of controlling the spread of SARS. Currently every township has
joined in arresting practitioners, searching and confiscating their personal
property, and imposing fines on them. More than 40 practitioners were taken
away. The police detained them in every township government, as well as the
Wangchun Town Shooting Practice Site. Those practitioners were subjected to

Rescue Practitioners in Buxing City The police from Xibuxin Police Station violently arrested practitioners Wei
Lijie, Sun Yujie, Huang Muhua and Gao Moying and took them away from their

by Tying Her to a Tree Beside a Busy Street On May 9, 2003, the police caught a female practitioner while she was
distributing truth-clarifying materials in Yunxi Town, Shifang City, Sichuan
province. The police tied her to a tree beside a busy street to humiliate her in
front of everyone. Originally she was locked up in Shifang City Detention
Center, but her current whereabouts are unknown. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Ms. Li Degui and a
Practitioner Named Guan Practitioner Ms. Li Degui had been forced to leave home and go from place to
place for about a year to avoid further persecution. On May 15, 2003, she was
caught when the police were conducting searches house to house in Songjianghe
district. She was then taken away by Zhang Aimin, the chief of the Political
Security Section of Fusong County Public Security Sub-bureau. Currently she is
being held at the Fusong County Detention Center. Zhang Aimin and Liu Xincai,
the deputy chief of the Political Security Section, have been actively
participating in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners since 1999. Another practitioner Guan was taken away from his home by the Songjianghe
district police. His current whereabouts are unknown. [Longjin City, Jilin Province] The Police Trap Practitioners In Longjin City of Jilin Province, the police posted slogans with slanderous
words against Dafa, aiming to trap practitioners. They also waited at the places
where practitioners often posted truth-clarifying flyers and banners, such as
utility poles in high-traffic areas. It has been learned that a few
practitioners have been caught at the entrance of the East Shopping Market. [Tianjin] Police Issue Slanderous Letters Against Practitioners The Yuexiu Street Party Committee, the local Residential Committee and the
local police station jointly issued a letter to every family in this community
with the date stamped as May 15, 2003. This letter used slanderous words against
practitioners and announced a 1,000-Yuan reward for residents who reported
practitioners' whereabouts. They also forced uninformed residents, including an
80-year-old lady, to send letters to every family of this community. The contact telephone numbers listed
