(Clearwisdom.net) On April 28, at the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors' meeting, Virginia resident Mr. Nappi shared his personal experiences of how he gained benefits from practicing Falun Gong. He hoped that given the current situation of SARS, the county government would provide more support for its residents to practice Falun Gong so as to allow more residents to benefit from the practice, improve their immune system and overall health.

Fairfax County is located in the suburbs of Washington DC. Its residents are from different nationalities. The current situation of the SARS epidemic has become a topic of concern among local residents. Medical experts pointed out that currently no effective cure is available, and one's own immune system is a crucial factor in not contracting SARS.

Mr. Nappi told the representatives that the research on neutrophile cells performed by Dr. Lili Feng, a professor of immunology from Medical School of Baylor University, showed that practicing Falun Gong had a tremendous effect on improving one's immunity. He used his personal experiences to validate the extraordinary efficacy of cultivating Falun Gong in healing and fitness. Twelve years ago, because of a car accident, Mr. Nappi lost his ability to hear, read, write, or to drive. He was given to smoking, drinking and abusing drugs. Cultivating Falun Gong not only allowed him to easily quit these bad habits, but he also regained his ability to hear, read, write, and to drive. He told the representatives that Falun Gong is a cultivation practice that can fundamentally improve people's health, because it is based upon the principles of the universe, and it is guided by the standard of the universe's highest characteristic: "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Consequently, the practice enables practitioners to be harmonious with the world and to assimilate themselves to the universe. The practice not only allows practitioners to obtain physical health, but it also enables practitioners to upgrade their moral standard. Therefore, cultivating Falun Gong can help people fundamentally obtain genuine health of body, mind and spirit.
