Differentiate Between Good and Evil; Gain Immunity from All Diseases Written by Bu Da
(Clearwisdom.net) Chinese medicine is indeed advanced and profound. When encountering the
unexpected Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), things that first come into western medicine
doctors' minds are how to develop diagnostic tests, vaccinations, and drugs to kill the virus. The
problem is that SARS has developed into several different forms and Western medicine treatments
cannot match up to the development. What about Chinese medicine? Chinese medicine says, "The evil cannot defeat the good."
Diseases are considered evil things, thus, once a person is righteous, nothing can affect him or
her. Then what is righteous in Chinese medicine's point of view? Chinese medicine emphasizes one's
moral values. A living being that follows the basic moral standards of honesty, kindness, forgiveness
and tolerance is deemed righteous. Scientists discovered that the thoughts human brains generate are
in the form of brain waves; hence they have accepted that human thoughts are in fact a type of
matter. Then isn't the righteousness that Chinese medicine addresses a type of microscopic
matter also? This righteous microscopic matter lays the foundation for immunity against diseases. These microscopic righteous elements that constitute everything from the smallest individual
lives and the societies to the entire universe are the foundation for the health of all living
beings. It appears that this "righteousness" transcends politics, economics and culture. If a
living being no longer upholds moral values, he is definitely rejecting what is just and in turn
loses the basis of being healthy. If a being that upholds moral values is viewed as contravening the
"law," then the society that established and enacts this "law" will definitely
be controlled by the evil elements and thus will lose its foundation for healthy development. So it seems that in order to be unaffected by diseases, we should differentiate between right and
wrong, good and evil! April 22, 2003 Posting date: 5/7/2003
