A Practitioner's Path

Shortly after a fellow practitioner obtained the Fa, the evil started the persecution against Dafa. This was definitely a test of the practitioner about whether or not to continue her cultivation. Moreover, another tribulation appeared in her family -- her husband had an extramarital affair. Facing these situations, she made her choice and firmly persevered through the difficulties. In the past three years, she, who was always strong and tough, had no arguments with her ex-husband and the other woman. Instead, she was peaceful when talking with her ex-husband. This not only showed the great compassion and tolerance of a practitioner, but also a practitioner's dignity.

In October of 2000, holding her one-year old baby, she decisively headed to Beijing to rectify the Fa. She overcame many difficulties during the journey and finally arrived at Tiananmen Square. When she saw the policemen brutally beating Dafa practitioners, she loudly questioned their justification for beating people. With the assistance of another practitioner, she safely left the scene and returned home.

From then on, she put more effort into Fa-rectification and clarifying the facts. Her work unit did not allow any Falun Gong practitioners to work there, and her colleague once reported her to her work unit leader when she clarified the facts to that person. However, for being only an ordinary worker, she has kept her stable job because of her firm belief in Dafa, her excellent performance at work, and her kindness to other people. For example, during the pledge drive for flood relief, she donated her one-month salary of one thousand Yuan.* There were a few occasions when the leader of her work unit asked her to have a talk, all of which became good opportunities for her to clarify the facts. Most recently, an office chief of the Bureau Party Committee had a talk with her. She treated him as a being to be saved, and in the conversation of several hours, she became the talker and the chief just listened with great interest.

While distributing truth-clarification materials, she was a very active practitioner in her area. During the past few years, she overcame all kinds of family troubles, and has almost covered every corner of the city without being held back by the weather. She has distributed a large amount of facts-clarification VCDs and flyers. On Saturdays or Sundays, she often carried a bag on her shoulder and held another bag in her hand while traveling to the countryside to clarify the facts. On special occasions like Falun Dafa Day and other important days, she walked across streets and communities right under the eyes of security patrol members. She encountered many dangerous moments, but she managed to safely circumvent them each time.

Of course we should not pursue quantity when distributing facts-clarification flyers, or we would become trapped in a form of competition. However, the persistence and productivity of this fellow practitioner at distributing facts-clarification materials reflected her complete dedication to the Fa-rectification, and her great compassion and courage, which earned respect from others.

Recently, she was arrested by the evil for distributing fact-clarifying materials. We feel sad in our hearts. Perhaps she was too busy with Dafa activities and neglected Fa study, or perhaps she had loopholes in her own cultivation. Nonetheless, none of those should be used by the evil as an excuse to persecute her. This practitioner has done so many tasks, and was also in charge of delivering Dafa materials, which were the true reason for the persecution by the evil. We have no doubt that she will be able to find her way out by using righteous thoughts, and will continue to do well with what a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple should do. It is just as Master said in "Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions,"

"A Great Enlightened Being does not fear hardship
Having forged an adamantine will
And with no attachment to living or dying
He walks his path of Fa-rectification openly and nobly."

* Yuan is the Chinese currency. The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is 500 Yuan.
