Village Secretary Personally Asks Town Leader to Release Dafa Practitioners from a Detention Center

Our village secretary understands Falun Gong, and knows that practitioners are good people who practice Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, he has been secretly protecting practitioners. In 2000, the police in our village arrested more than ten practitioners; yet, the village secretary personally asked the town leader to quickly release them from the detention center. Later, a few Falun Gong practitioners were taken to a brainwashing center, and the village secretary spent several thousand Yuan (an average urban worker's monthly wage is about 500 Yuan) to bail them out. On New Year's Day of 2001, two daughters of a practitioner were arrested. The village secretary visited this practitioner's home, and said he would help if there was any difficulty. Recently the vicious people intended to persecute Dafa practitioners through secret monitoring, and the village secretary warned us to be cautious.
