A 70-Year-Old Man Unexpectedly Finds A Way Out of A Desperate Situation

(Clearwisdom.net) I turned 76 years old this year. My wife and I started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, and we both experienced improved health.

Since July 20, 1999 when Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Dafa, my workplace and the local police station have warned me not to continue the practice. They said, "If you practice Falun Gong, we will stop your salary, fire your son and daughter-in-law, stop your grandson from going to school, and send you to be reformed."(brainwashed--ed.) Under this pressure and against my conscience, I told them I would "stop practicing" and turned in my Falun Dafa books. But they kept harassing me at home, and asked me, "We notice you have not asked for reimbursement for medical expenses--aren't you still practicing Falun Gong!" After I gave up practicing cultivation, my diseases all came back.

In October 2002, I got a disease called "The unusual syndrome of liver cirrhosis, ascites and hyperostosis caused by late period bilhaziosis." The hospital could not treat it. My family was called to prepare for my death. Even under these circumstances, the officials from the police department and "610 office" still came to the hospital to threaten and intimidate me. They even arrested my wife, sent her to the detention center, and extorted several thousand Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] from my family before they released her. After that they illegally ransacked my home.

In the hospital, when I was partly awake and partly asleep, I saw Teacher come to me. Teacher told me, "You won't die. You will recover if you study the Fa well and practice the exercises well after you go back home." I asked, "What about my liver disease?" Teacher said, "It has been removed." After I woke up, I told my wife everything I had seen. My wife said happily, "Let's go home. Let's leave the hospital." Her fellow practitioners also came to visit me in the hospital, and everybody said only Falun Dafa could save me, and suggested my wife play the music tape for me. I felt very comfortable after listening to the tape. I asked her to read Zhuan Falun to me. I thought, "What should I be afraid of? I'm going to die anyway." I let go of fear and became determined to practice Falun Dafa. After returning home, I continued studying the Fa and practicing the exercises every day, and my health gradually improved. Now all my diseases are gone. This is the second new life that Teacher has given to me.
