Clarifying the Truth and Saving Sentient Beings
By a practitioner in the US
(Clearwisdom.net) About a week and a half ago, I read an
experience-sharing article on sending forth righteous thoughts in front of the
Chinese Consulate in Chicago by a Canadian practitioner. I then decided that I
would also go to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago to support the efforts to
clarify the truth their. Within a half an hour, I was able to reserve a plane
ticket to Chicago at a price that was even cheaper than it had been two weeks
earlier. At the same time, I was able to take leave from work so that I could
spend five precious days in Chicago.
The very next day, my body felt heavy, as if it was filled with lead. On the
third day, my whole body was aching like crazy. I stayed in bed, dazed, as if I
was seriously "ill" almost the whole day. Soon I realized that it was
interference, so I studied the Fa more and sent forth righteous thoughts often.
I said to the old forces in my mind, "These difficulties cannot stop me. I
am determined to go. Your words cannot move me." Once I had a righteous
mind, the "symptoms" gradually disappeared.
On the way to the airport, a Western practitioner who was driving me said:
"When I got up to send forth righteous thoughts last night, I saw that the
evil was gathering towards Chicago. It is going to be a tough this time." I
knew that in my heart as well. At the same time, I was determined. I decided to
spend these five days in front of the Consulate day and night, not going anyway
else, and I would help rectify the Fa with a high realm of mind.
By the time I landed at the Chicago airport and arrived at the Chinese
Consulate, it was already 1:00 am in the morning. I saw seven or eight
practitioners there sending forth righteous thoughts, and I immediately sat down
and joined them. We intensely sent forth righteous thoughts every half hour. I
felt that my mind was very clear, and the righteous thoughts were also very
strong. At dawn, the sky was filled with heavy fog. Even the air felt heavy and
suffocating. At that time, my legs started to hurt more and more. Finally both
my kneecaps were burning like fire. I could neither extend my legs nor bend
them, but I also clearly felt waves of cold air were being drawn into my palm
and melted away in a warm circulating current.
The judge's hearing was between 9:00am and 12:00pm the next day, and more
practitioners gathered in front of the Consulate to send forth righteous
thoughts. The power of righteousness swept through the evil over and over.
Around 10:00am, some good news regarding the hearing was learned and uplifted
everyone's spirits.
By the afternoon of the third day, with the help of the righteous thoughts
from practitioners all around the world, the raw weather that had lasted a few
days in Chicago completely disappeared. As the sun was setting, its golden rays
shone on all the practitioners, casting a series of courageous and resolute
shadows. Another beautiful set of images had been imprinted in history.
The following is a collection of stories from Chicago.
I want to learn Falun Gong
A fellow practitioner was taking a taxi to the Chinese Consulate, and the
taxi driver asked her why was she in Chicago. She said that she came here to
support the effort to try the former dictator of China in the court of law. She
went on to clarify the truth to the taxi driver. The driver kept saying,
"Yes, yes, this should be done." He then asked her where the practice
sites in Chicago were. This practitioner replied that she was not very clear
herself. When she was about to get out of the car, the taxi driver suddenly
handed her his phone number and asked, "Would you please help me find a
practice site? I want to learn Falun Gong."
Heshi -- Thank you
In the middle of the night, seven or eight practitioners were sending forth
righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese Consulate. Two local people came
over. One by one, they stood in front of each practitioner, pressed their hands
together (heshi) and bowed. They kept saying, "Thank you, thank you!"
They left by walking almost backwards while continuing to heshi for a long time.
All the practitioners sighed: everyone has a side that understands.
Husband and wife both sign the petition
When practitioners were sending forth righteous thoughts in front of the
Chinese Consulate, two practitioners were handing out truth clarifying materials
to vehicles and pedestrians who were passing by. One time, a jeep made a sudden
stop in front of one of the practitioners. A lady in the car anxiously asked if
there was any petition that she could sign. When the practitioner handed the
petition over, both the lady and her husband signed their names on it carefully.
From Beijing
A Chinese couple with a little boy walked toward the side of the street where
practitioners were sending forth righteous thoughts. They kept looking at the
practitioners. A practitioner noticed them, so he/she walked up and handed them
a copy of "Yuan" booklet and a "Zhufu" VCD. They accepted
politely and started talking to the practitioner. The woman said that she and
her son had just arrived from Beijing, and her husband was a visiting scholar.
She also said that SARS had caused a great deal of chaos in Beijing. They also
knew that the situation was caused by Jiang's covering up the truth. The
practitioner then talked to them about SARS and the persecution of Falun Gong.
They seemed to be very much aware of the situation in China. Ten minutes later,
before they left, they told the practitioner, "We will go through the
material you gave us carefully."
Clarifying the truth to a hotel guard
Chicago practitioners rented a room from a hotel near the Chinese Consulate
for practitioners who stayed outside the Consulate to take a break overnight.
One night, a female guard at the hotel suddenly asked practitioners to show
their identification. She said that the person who registered for the room had a
different name. She also said only registered guests were allowed to enter the
hotel and she would call the police [if the practitioners refused to leave]. So
the practitioners were kept outside that night; they could not even retrieve
their luggage. The next day, one practitioner decided to clarify the truth to
the guard. "Did you know why I came here? I haven't slept for a few nights
already." This practitioner then told her about Charles Li's case, and the
guard seemed to be touched. She said, "It is not that I don't want you to
go in, but there were so many people coming and going. I am afraid that
something may happen while I am on duty." Finally the practitioner
sincerely told her, "I am sorry, we did not know the rules of your hotel. I
am sorry about the inconvenience we caused." The guard was a little
embarrassed, "Oh, it is okay." Later on, practitioners clarified the
truth to the hotel manager as well. Now practitioners can come and go as they
wish.
"Mobil hotel"
A practitioner parked her car on the street next to where other practitioners
were sending forth righteous thoughts at night. When a practitioner got tired,
he/she could get in her car and take a break. She had prepared sleeping bags,
blankets and pillows in the car. It was just like a little hotel room.
