Facts About the Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners Yu Huizhen, Wang Jinlan, and Jiang Hai from Yanqing County, Beijing

At 9 p.m. on January 12, 2002, a group of policemen led by Officer Bai Jinlong arrested Ms. Yu at her home for telling people about the facts of the persecution, and they illegally ransacked her home. They sent her to the Yanqing County Detention Center. She refused to cooperate with the police by going on a hunger strike, and was released three days later.

Then, on the morning of November 5, 2002, Director Xia Yongkun, from the Kangzhuan Police Station, and officers Bai Jinlong, Liu Hongbo and four others, illegally arrested Ms. Yu again from her workplace, and detained her at the Yanqing County Detention Center. Because she would not cooperate while they tried to fingerprint and photograph her, she was beaten. Later that afternoon, a court officer came to get her signature on a verdict illegally sentencing her to two years in a labor camp. Since Ms. Yu Huizhen refused to sign, the court officer forged her name. Ms. Yu Huizhen was sent to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Daxing County the next morning, along with four other Falun Dafa practitioners: Mr. Wang Lianyi, Mr. Wang Guanglong, Ms. Wang Jinlan, who were from the same area, and another practitioner from another area. They were also illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp.

During her physical examination at the Tuanhe Labor Camp Hospital, Ms. Yu Huizhen had soaring high blood pressure of over 200. The labor camp did not dare accept her, so the police took her back to the Yanqing County Detention Center. She went on hunger strike. On the fifth day of her hunger strike, the guards handcuffed and shackled her before taking her to the county hospital to force feed her. While at the hospital, she clarified the truth to the hospital staff to expose the evil. To stop her, the head guard and an inmate crammed a sanitary pad in her mouth and taped it shut. They even pinched her nose to keep her from breathing. Under this kind of persecution, Ms. Yu Huizhen's health deteriorated rapidly. That same night, the 14^th day after she was arrested, she was released unconditionally.

The Yanqing County Kangzhuan Town police led a group of people to forcefully abduct Ms. Wang Jinlan from her home at 9 p.m. on January 12, 2002 for telling people about the persecution. Additionally, the police ransacked her home and confiscated 20,000 Yuan* in cash. She was then detained at the Yanqing County Detention Center. Because she didn't cooperate and went on a hunger strike to protest, Dr. Gao, a prison doctor, repeatedly shocked her with an electric baton and later force-fed her. Ms. Wang Jinlan maintained her righteous thoughts and righteous actions, and was released 20 days later.

On November 5, 2002, the police from the Kangzhuan Town Police Station illegally broke into Ms. Wang Jinlan's home again, forcefully took her away and sent her to the Yanqing County Detention Center. Because she didn't cooperate with the fingerprinting and photos, she was beaten. Later that afternoon, a court officer came to get her signature on a verdict illegally sentencing her to two years in a labor camp. Ms. Wang Jinlan refused to sign, so a court officer forged her name. Ms. Wang Jinlan was sent to the Daxing County Tuanhe Forced-labor camp the next morning.

Officer Bai Jinlong lead a group of policemen who forcefully took Mr. Jiang Hai from his home at 9 p.m. on January 12, 2002, for telling people about the persecution. Then, they illegally ransacked his home and sent him to the Yanqing County Detention Center. Because he did not cooperate, he was beaten and drenched with freezing water. Mr. Jiang Hai went on hunger strike to protest the persecution, but was force-fed. On the 28th day of his hunger strike, he was released from the detention center. The Kangzhuan Town Police Station, the "610 Office"** and the village committee didn't want him released, so they sent him to the Kangzhuang Hospital for further persecution. Mr. Jiang Hai maintained righteous thoughts and righteous actions and was able to go back home. After his release, Officer Bai Jinlong and Zhao Dongdong, a person from the "610 Office," continued to go to his home everyday to harass him.

More than 20 days later, officer Li Shuangjun and two other officers led by Wang Shengli and Wang Lishi, both from the Village committee, illegally broke into Mr. Jiang Hai's home again to arrest him and detained him in the Yanqing Brainwashing Center. Mr. Jiang Hai went on hunger strike for six days before he was released. On the morning of April 28, 2002, Zhao Dongdong and Wang Yujun from the "610 Office" went to Mr. Jiang Hai's home under the pretense of visiting him, and later, policeman Liu Hongbo took three other policemen and climbed over a wall at Mr. Jiang Hai's home. Without warrants they forcefully handcuffed Mr. Jiang Hai and took him away from his bed. Mr. Jiang Hai did not even have time to put on his shoes. His wife went to the police station several times but could not get information about his whereabouts; instead she was beaten by Ding Guangming, the Director of the Kangzhuan Police Station and driven away. It was more than a month later before Mr. Jiang Hai's wife found out he was being detained at the Fengtai District Detention Center of Beijing. Mr. Jiang Hai went on hunger strike again during the detention and was taken back to his hometown by the "610 Office." The "610 Office" wanted him to write statements renouncing Falun Dafa, but Mr. Jiang Hai refused. So they sent him to the Yanqing County Detention Center again. Mr. Jiang Hai went on a hunger strike again, this time for five months, and during this period he was sent to places like the City Detention Center of Beijing. On September 27, 2002, without his family being notified, the Yanqing County People's Court conducted an illegal trial and sentenced Mr. Jiang Hai to nine years in prison. Mr. Jiang Hai appealed to the Yanqing County People's Procuratorate, but was denied. On December 16, 2002, Mr. Jiang Hai was imprisoned at Qinghe Farm's Qianjin Prison in Tianjin City. Later it was learned that Mr. Jiang Hai was sent back to the Yanqing County Detention Center because he went on a hunger strike, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
