Strikes for Nearly a Month in the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp Chen Shaoqing was illegally arrested in April and sent to the Sanshui Forced
Labor Camp for cultivating Falun Dafa and for clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa.
During his detention, Chen Shaoqing continues to explain the truth to whomever
he meets, and practices the exercises. Because of this, he has been subjected to
inhumane torture. Chen Shaoqing has been on a hunger strike for nearly a month
to protest the persecution. Despite his present extremely weak condition, the
police still refuse to release him. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Brutal Torture Method Employed in Forced
Labor Camps --"Tie a Person's Hands Behind His Back with a Rope That Is
Looped Around His Neck" The forced labor camps in Guangzhou City, including the male camp in Huadu
and the female camp in Cuotou, employ a brutal means of torture used by police
in the north, in order to forcibly brainwash Falun Dafa practitioners. To begin
with, they detain practitioners separately in dark rooms. They don't provide
food or allow practitioners to go to sleep for the first few days, until
practitioners are totally exhausted and weak. Then they use strips of cloth or
rope to tie practitioners so tightly that the bonds cut into practitioners'
flesh. It makes people feel extremely miserable. People who are subjected to
this means of torture may lose the use of their arms and legs from lack of blood
circulation if they are not untied every single hour. Some practitioners' legs
become disabled due to this torture. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Police Trap Practitioner Yang Jiangwei's
Father for the Second Time Yang Jiangwei's father was released on June 9, but his sister was transferred
from a detention house to a lockup for prisoners awaiting trial. On June 12,
police from the lockup called Yang's father, asking him to pick up his daughter.
The police wereáactually intending to trap Yang's father, who was illegally
detained again that very day. He has not yet been released. Minghui.net has previously reported on the persecution of Yang Jiangwei. [Handan City, Hubei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Tong Ruiqing Is Sent to
the Handan Forced Labor Camp after Twelve Days on a Hunger Strike On June 11, Minghui.net reported on the persecution of practitioner Gong
Ruiqing, an employee from the Social Security Center in Handan City. According
to reliable sources, Gong Ruiqing became extremely weak after holding a hunger
strike for 12 days at the No. 1 Detention Center. In spite of his condition, he
was still forcibly sent to the Handan Forced Labor Camp for intensified
persecution. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Illegally
Sentenced to Jail Terms Before the Lunar Chinese New Year (the end of January), Ms. Zhao Shumei and
Ms Shi Rong, along with other practitioners, were illegally arrested while
distributing truth-clarifying materials in Guangzhou City. They are being
detained in the No. 3 Team of the Cuotou Forced Labor Camp located in Shijing
Town, in the Baiyun District of Guangzhou City. They have been illegally
sentenced to jail until July of next year. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Liu Lifeng Illegally
Detained in the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp Liu Lifengáwas diagnosed with hepatitis B during many medical
examinations while he was being persecuted in the brainwashing center in the
capital city of Hebei Province. However his persecution has never ceased. He is
not allowed to step out of his room, to use the washroom, or to go to sleep. He
is force-fed with white wine. Dropping in on the labor camp one day, the head of
the police department abused Liu Lifeng and beat him. He was flustered and
exasperated when he saw that Liu Lifeng was still steadfast in cultivation
practice. Colluding with the "610 Office,"* he detained Liu Lifeng in
the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp. Liu Lifeng's happy family was separated from
him as well. His wife, a solider on active service, was forced to divorce him. [Liaoning Province] A Plan to Search for Falun Dafa Practitioners Recently, a meeting was held for the Public Security Network in Liaoning
Province. It was decided to conduct an illegal blanket search for young Falun
Dafa practitioners across the province. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Illegally
Arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Youyi and his wife Gao Shuyun, from Xilao
Village in Shangzhuang Town, Rongcheng City, were illegally arrested on June 14.
Their whereabouts are still unknown. [Northwest China] Falun Dafa Banners Flutter along the Highway On World Falun Dafa Day May 13, banners saying "Falun Dafa is
Good!" and "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is Good!" fluttered in the
breeze along a highway in the capital city of a province in Northwest China. The
yellow words on red cloth made these banners especially bright and magnificent. [Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province] Jiang Blackmails Falun Dafa
Practitioners' Work Units Practitioner Li Yanhai became destitute and homelessáfor a year and a
half due to persecution. On May 30, 2003, she was trapped and detained in the
Liaozhong Detention House. On May 31, 2003, the Public Security Network in Liaozhong County held a
meeting. During the meeting, several pages of illegal documents and a list of
the names of over 100 Falun Dafa practitioners in the county were distributed.
Since then, people from work units, neighborhood committees, and local police
substations have harassed many practitioners. At the same time, a so-called
"deposit of guarantee" for practitioners is extorted from each work
unit in an attempt to force practitioners to give up their belief in truth,
compassion and tolerance. It is in vain however, since most practitioners have
left their homes with righteous thoughts. A few practitioners who didn't get a
chance to leave in time clearly answered "Yes" when asked whether they
were still practicing Falun Dafa. As a result, the evil failed to achieve their
goal. People primarily responsible for the persecution are: Li Lin, Party Secretary of the Politics & Judiciary Committee [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Wang Bingzheng Jailed Wang Bingzheng is from Huayuantou Village in Yuanshang Town, Laixi City,
Shandong Province. On March 6, 2003, policemen from Guxian Town illegally
arrested him as he distributed truth-clarifying materials at Daji, in Guxian
Town, Pingdu City. Police from Yuanshang Town picked him up that evening. The
next day, Wang Bingzheng's home was searched, and he was sent to the Laixi
Prison. His 80-year-old mother cries every day, and waits for her son to come
back home. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] The No. 4 Prison Brutally Brainwashes
Falun Dafa Practitioners Currently, police from the No. 4 Prison in Shijiazhuang City are brutally
torturing Falun Dafa practitioners who are steadfast in their belief. The police
force practitioners to sit on a bench with their legs motionless for a long
time, and prevent them from sleeping, day or night. Anyone who falls asleep is
beaten by criminal prisoners using large wooden clubs. When practitioners have
been tortured to the point of delirium, the police coerce them into writing the
so-called "Four Statements of Guarantee." [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Zhang Qushan Illegally Arrested for
the Fourth Time Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Qushan is from Ximao Village in Shahe
City.áAt midnight on May 27, police from Xingtai City and the Ji Village
Police Substation illegally arrested him. He is currently being detained in
Xingtai's "Law Education Center," which is actually a brainwashing
center. In November of last year, Zhang was illegally detained in the Shahe
Detention House for explaining the facts of Falun Dafa. After 35 days on a
hunger strike, he was released. This is the fourth time that he was illegally
arrested. People involved in the persecution:á Yang Sanhui, from Ximao Village; Truth-Clarifying VCDs Evoke Strong Reactions in an Army Residential Complex Falun Dafa practitioners carefully distributed 60 truth-clarifying VCDsáin
an army residential complex, which evoked strong reactions. It even shocked
personnel at the army's headquarters. The evil beings are currently very
nervous. [Linyi County, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Persecuted Practitioner Ding Lihua was illegally arrested on Square Street on February
28, 2003. She was sent to the Jinan Female Forced Labor Camp the same day. Practitioner Cao Qinghua, a high school teacher from Mengqi Town in Linyi
County, was first fired from this teaching position for telling students about
Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance. He/she was forcibly abducted from home on
April 25, 2003 and is currently detained in the Linyi Detention Center. Fu Zongguo is the head of the local "610 Office." His phone number
is 86-534-4222877. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhao Zihua Illegally
Arrestedá Zhao Zihua is a 51-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Xutun Village in the
Taihe District of Jinzhou City. She was illegally arrested on May 29, 2003.
Police from the North Suburban Branch of the Taihe District searched her home
and sent her to the Jinzhou Detention Center. * "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute
Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party
and all other political and judiciary systems.
