Dafa Practitioner Ms. Xia Ning Brutally Tortured in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp (phone numbers included)

(Clearwisdom.net) June 21^st report: after reading the report on Minghui Net about the persecution of Dafa practitioner Xia Ning at the hands of guards from the No. 3 Division of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, as fellow practitioners, we felt very heavy-hearted. We realized we have not done well enough in our area to expose the brutal persecution against our fellow practitioner in time.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Xia Ning, in her 40's, lived in Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province. She is an honest and kind farmer. Prior to being sent to the Masanjia Camp, she weighed around 140 jin [about 154 lbs] After being tortured in the camp, she now weighs only about 60 to 70 jin [66 to 77 lbs].

On January 1, 2001, Xia Ning went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, but related government agencies and departments in Beijing turned a deaf ear. With no other way to express her opinion, Xia Ning went to Tiananmen Square and shouted words from the bottom of her heart, "Falun Dafa is good! Restore my Master's reputation!" Police arrested her and took her to a police station.

In order to return them to their hometown police stations, the thugs at the police station used violence against practitioners who refused to give their names and addresses. Two large men yanked Xia Ning's hair and pulled it out in bunches. They forcibly took off Xia Ning's winter coat, leaving her in only a shirt and sweatpants. They pinned her down and brutally beat her with rubber clubs and spiked clubs until Xia Ning's body was covered with bruises and cuts. Because she still refused to give in, the police burnt Xia Ning's mouth with a lighter and cigarette butts. Xia Ning looked at the thugs with righteous thoughts and recited "Non-existence" [Hong Yin] in her heart. Xia Ning's mouth was filled with blisters because the police kept burning her. Since she refused to give her name and address, the thugs poured some cold water on her, and later they repeatedly poured basins full of water on her. After she became soaking wet, the police placed a fan in front of her and turned it on for a whole night. Even the two police officers shivered in the cold weather, though they wore heavy coats.

After six days of brutal torture, Xia Ning held a hunger strike and walked out of the demon's den with incredible determination and firm faith in Master and Dafa.

After Xia Ning returned home, she was not intimidated by the evil. Instead, she saw more clearly the evil of Jiang's group. In order to help more people learn the truth about the persecution and to eliminate the lies that deceive and poison people's minds, Xia Ning began to clarify the truth and expose the evil to people. Once, when she was delivering a truth clarification VCD to Ma Wei's father-in-law, a former police officer of the local detention center who currently works at a shelter, Ma Wei reported her to the police. In mid April 2001, Chengdong Police Station police officers sent her to the Masanjia Labor Camp for more brutal persecution.

While in this camp, which is notorious for its inhumane conditions and brutal guards, Xia Ning still did not give up her belief. Once, when a guard saw her doing Dafa exercises, he tied her to a metal "dead person's bed"* for as long as eight months! Right now, she is being detained in solitary confinement. After suffering all kinds of brutal tortures, Xia Ning's weight drastically declined from 154 lbs. to around 66 lbs, and the persecution is continuing.

During the time Xia Ning was illegally detained at Masanjia Labor Camp, her parents who were in poor health passed away. They could not deal with the fact that Xia Ning was arrested. They missed her terribly. Even so, the Masanjia Labor Camp did not release Xia Ning to see her parents for the last time.
