Cases of Karmic Retribution Across Mainland China (Clearwisdom.net June 18) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is,
being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental
teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe,
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in
harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will
incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while
evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a
compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of
those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires
that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of
wrongdoing may they escape retribution. Cai Shigui, from Gouxiadian Village of Xiadian Town in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, assisted
the evil by confiscating Dafa books from the practitioners in his village. He tore up
truth-clarifying flyers and monitored the practitioners. In May of this year, he and some other
people took a motorized three-wheeler home for an out of town trip. When the vehicle was still in
motion and not in full stop, he suddenly fell out of the vehicle and died on the scene. Li Lanying is a senior engineer at the Iron & Steel Product Research and Design Institute in
Wuhan City, Hubei Province. She slandered Dafa in a report . Some people advised her not to do so,
but she refused to heed their advice. As a result, last year she suffered severe problems with her
eyes, and her mouth became deformed. Wang Weimin is a party secretary of a residential committee on 30 Yejin Street in Wuhan, Hubei
Province. He assisted local police to set up checkpoints in order to monitor and follow Dafa
practitioners. Soon afterwards he became ill with a lumbar vertebra disk extrusion. It was so
painful that he had to undergo surgery. Posting date: 7/1/2003
