After Mr. Yao Yanhui went on hunger strike protesting his illegal detention, he was sent to the city hospital where he was force-fed. Several days ago in the hospital, he opened the handcuffs with righteous thoughts, but he was discovered and re-captured by the police guard at the hospital stairs. Currently he is still being persecuted. Practitioner Yang Jiangwei's father and sister were illegally arrested at the same time as Yao Yanhui. They are still in detention and being tortured. Since his arrest, Yang Jiangwei himself has been on a hunger strike protesting the illegal detention. He is being force-fed but is losing weight and becoming extremely weak.

On April 3, 2003, Dalian practitioner Yu Fanglin and her husband Ma Yue were illegally arrested while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa in Changhai County. At the time, Yu Fanglin was several months pregnant. They are being detained in the Changhai Detention House and subjected to forcible brainwashing. Their family members are not allowed to visit them. Yu Fanglin has been unable to eat after bones in her face were fractured during a beating while in detention.

Around 5:00 pm on June 26, Zhang Bin was illegally arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. He is currently being detained in the Huludao Detention Center.

Zhao Liwei was illegally arrested while explaining the truth of Falun Dafa on March 15, 2003. She was detained in the Panjin No.3 Detention Center for two months before she was sent to a forced labor camp. At the detention center, she was force-fed and tortured for remaining steadfast in her belief in Dafa. On May 15, she was transported to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for intensified persecution.

Zhang Baoqin was betrayed while clarifying the truth. While distributing a truth-clarifying VCD to one household, she explained the truth of Falun Dafa to the family next door. That family reported her to the police from the Junmin Police Substation in Dongli District, who came and arrested her. She was illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp. Because of high blood pressure and heart problems, she is being detained in the Wanjia Hospital, and the police refuse to release her. Her current situation is unknown.

Two other practitioners were forced to leave their homes and become destitute and homeless to avoid being detained.

Around 9:00 pm on June 18, 2003, Jiang Jing was distributing truth-clarifying materials when police officer Xu Yanming illegally arrested her. She is currently being held in the local detention center.

Ms Zhang Jianying and Ms Chen Lin were illegally arrested on June 14, 2003. They are presently being confined in the Anlu Detention Center. Ms. Sun Xianfen, also in the same detention center, was illegally arrested at the end of May.

Ms. Hu Suping was betrayed and illegally arrested on June 14, 2003. She is being held in the Yingcheng No.2 Detention Center.

According to reliable resources, the "610 Office" and the Politics & Law Committee of the Liaohe Oil Field recently plotted to hold brainwashing classes in an attempt to intensify the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, including those who haven't stepped forward after writing the so-called "statement of guarantee" since July 20, 1999. We think that those who will be targeted this time will be those whose names were on the list before July 20, 1999. Falun Dafa practitioners who stepped forward after July 20, 1999, will be arrested and sent to the brainwashing center in Fushun City. The first class started on June 6 and ended the last of June. The second class will begin around July 14. Most of the practitioners scheduled to attend this class are in-service teachers, who will be deprived of their summer vacation and will suffer under the intensified persecution.

A few days ago, the "610 Office" and the Police Department used the SARS epidemic as an excuse to watch family members of practitioners who had become destitute and homeless in order to avoid illegal detention. Their ploy was immediately obvious. With no results, they started to shadow other Falun Dafa practitioners. It has been reported that there was a secret order from higher authorities that at least one Falun Dafa material site must be found in each county.
