First Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference Held on Batam Island, Indonesia (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 6-7, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia held the first Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference on Batam Island, Indonesia.

Batam Island is one of the most prosperous islands in Indonesia, located in the middle of Indonesia. Since the first introduction session of Falun Gong was held for the public in July 2002, Falun Dafa has been steadily developing on the island. Practitioners are mainly natives. This May, with support from the local government, Batam practitioners registered the Indonesia Falun Dafa Association Batam Island Branch.

Master said in "Lecturing on and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Area Fa Conference," "If a nationality or a country doesn't have Dafa disciples right now, it will bring them a ton of difficulty--and that's at a very minimum. So no matter how few Dafa disciples there are in a certain place, that is hope for that nationality." It is important for Batam Island and its people to be able to learn about Falun Dafa.

At the Fa Conference, the local practitioners related in Indonesian the good physical and mental effects of cultivating Falun Dafa. A practitioner who is also a doctor shared that he had learned about the persecution of Falun Dafa prior to his cultivation. He had also received some negative information about Dafa, and believed at that time he would not learn Falun Dafa. As he benefited both physically and mentally after practicing Falun Dafa, he announced at the Fa conference that he has become a genuine Falun Dafa practitioner! Another young man shared the moving experience of how Falun Dafa gave him a second chance at life, enabling him to become a healthy and energetic person, changing him from a person who had been plagued by many illnesses and fallen to hopelessness.

Through continuously striving forward over the past year, Batam practitioners have realized the importance of clarifying the truth to the public. Besides introducing Falun Dafa to the local people, the practitioners also actively explained to them the facts about the persecution of Falun Dafa.

The Fa conference was very successful due to the practitioners' concerted efforts.
