Liaohe Oil Field Experimental Middle School English Teacher Meng Jian Illegally Sentenced to 13 Years of Imprisonment

Liaoning Province, Panjin City Dafa disciple Meng Jian is an English teacher at the Liaohe Oil Field Experimental Middle School, Senior High Division. Because he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong twice, in October and December of 1999, he was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. On December 5, 2002, he was again illegally arrested, and his home was searched by policemen from the Panjin City Xinglongtai District Police Station. He was detained in the Taian County Labor Camp, and then in the Panshan County Labor Camp. After he protested by holding a hunger strike, he escaped with righteous thoughts in April of 2002, but to avoid further persecution, he was forced to leave his hometown and wander around to find other places to stay.

On May 25, 2003, Meng Jian was arrested while he was having a discussion with other practitioners. He was detained in the detention center in Panjin City and was viciously tortured by the evil. He was force-fed. His esophagus was damaged by the feeding tube and there was constant bleeding and fluid drainage. His body was severely weakened. Even in this situation, the Panjin City Police Station still illegally brought Meng Jian to trial. On June 17, 2003, the Xinglongtai District Court opened the case. But because of Meng Jian's refusal to cooperate, the trial did not reach a conclusion. Later, on June 26, he was secretly and illegally sentenced to thirteen years of imprisonment.
