Historical Photos: Falun Gong Practitioners in Weifang City, Shandong Province Invited to Perform at "All Peoples Fitness Sports Performance"

(Clearwisdom.net) In August 1997, some Falun Gong practitioners from Weifang City, Shandong Province were invited to participate in the "All Peoples Fitness Sports Performance" that was held in Weicheng District Theatre. (The banner reads: "Earnestly Implement Fitness Law" and "All Peoples Fitness Sports Performance")

According to fellow practitioners' recollections, at the time, tens of thousands of people watched the performances. The practitioners were the first that were invited to come on stage to perform. Obviously at that time, the government was very supportive. But in 2002, the same theatre became the place where Weifang City forced students and companies to watch movies that slandered Dafa. This is all due to the brutal persecution dictator Jiang Zemin singlehandedly started out of his personal jealousy.
