Facts on the Persecution of Dafa Practitioner Liu Shujun from Hengshui City, Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net July 15) Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Shujun, 41, employee of Yuanda Group of Hengshui City, Hebei Province was illegally detained for 14 months for going to Beijing to appeal in October 1999. The director of the detention center, Geng Zhanwu beat her so cruelly that she sustained serious internal injuries to her heart and lower back. Later she was illegally sentenced to a labor camp for two years. On April 23, 2002, she was released from Baoding City's Gaoyang Labor Camp. Because she was firm in her belief, after she returned, the Hengshui City "610 Office"* and police station tried to arrest her several times but failed.

Around 7:00pm on June 4, 2003, the city "610 Office" officers, policemen, and security staff from the Yuanda Group surrounded Liu Shujun's apartment. To resist the persecution, she tried to climb down the water pipe from the third floor. However, she accidentally fell down and became seriously injured. Her left knee and left ankle were fractured. Her third and fourth lumbar vertebrae were cut. She was then sent to the Halison International Peace Hospital in Hengshui City.

The Yuanda Group sent the security staff to monitor her at the ward every day. People from the city "610 Office" and Yuanda Group who directly persecuted her often harassed and persecuted her in the hospital. They tried to force her to give up her belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

Director of the first section, Li Yibing, who had been persecuting Dafa practitioners for the past four years, led four other people to persecute her before she was out of the danger of losing her life. Now Liu Shujun could not move at all. Besides fractures, her thorax and lung were filled with fluid. Only her two younger sisters were taking care of her.

The ones who kidnapped her also searched Liu Shujun's apartment. Until now the known illegally confiscated belongings include: 500-600RMB cash, Certificated Deposit of 3000RMB, Dafa Master lecture cassettes, VCRs for practicing, Dafa music cassettes and blank cassettes and three different size recorders.

The responsible persons who persecuted Liu Shujun are: Hengshui City "610 Office," police station, Yuanda Group Party Committee "610 Officer" director (also the CEO of Yuanda Group) Xing Rongli, Vice Director (Group vice secretary) Qiu Chenghe, Director of the Party's office Huo Yupeng, Group security director Wen Dengliang.

*"610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
