Persecution Cases of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Chishui, Guizhou Province

Mr. Dai Qiyuan is a 42 year-old resident of Kang Garden in Chishui, Guizhou province. In August 1999, Mr. Dai was arrested for practicing Falun Gong exercises with a group of fellow practitioners. He was illegally sentenced to 3 years in a forced labor camp. He was released after serving the sentence. In January 2003, Mr. Dai was again arrested while photocopying Falun Gong material. He was again illegally sentenced to 3 years in prison. He was later sent to Zhongba Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou.

Ms. Huang Shunwen is a 37 year-old employee of the Chishui Shipyard of Guizhou. She was arrested in January 2003 and illegally sentenced to 2 years in prison. She was sent to Zhongba Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou.

Ms. Huang Jialanis a 35 year-old resident of Kang Garden in Chishui, Guizhou province. She was arrested in May 2003 and sent to the Zhongba Forced Labor Camp. Because she had a persistent high fever, the labor camp refused to accept her. She was sent back to Chishui and detained at the Chishui Police Department. She is still being detained.

Mr. Chen Shiming and his wife lived on Xihua Road in Chishui, Guizhou province. They were both arrested in January 2003. Mr. Chen was illegally sentenced to 3 years in prison, and his wife was sentenced to 2 years in prison. The whereabouts of Mr. Chen is unknown. His wife is currently being detained at Zhongba Forced Labor Camp.
