Solemn Statements of Dafa Practitioners

The article entitled "After Solemn Declaration" that was published on Clearwisdom.net (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/5/23/36050.html) touched me deeply. I thought that writing a solemn statement was nothing related to me because I only said "I won't practice" verbally. Actually this is giving in to the evil and not in accordance with the requirements for a Dafa disciple during Fa-rectification. Meanwhile, I studied Master's recent article "Lecturing on and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference," and became enlightened to the fact that I should write a solemn statement stating that whatever I said before which did not comply to Dafa is invalid. I will persevere in my cultivation, compensate with more effort, do the three things required by Master well, and will not tarnish what I have already attained.

I was arrested in August 2001 while I was destitute and homeless, and taken to a detention center. I resisted the persecution with my righteous thoughts, and staged a hunger strike. At that time, my body showed very severe medical symptoms and I was released on bail paid by my family. Later, the City Politics and Security Team asked me to give proof from the hospital and also told me that I would be sent to a brainwashing class again after I recovered. At that time, my attachments of emotion, fear, and seeking comfort all emerged; I went to the hospital and got the proof. Then I signed the "release on medical parole" contract with my fingerprints. After studying the Fa and seeking inside for reasons, I realized that my conduct blemished Dafa's reputation, and I felt very regretful. Because I hadn't understood the Fa deeply and didn't treat myself properly, my mind was not righteous and caused some negative effects to Dafa, letting down Master's compassionate salvation. Cultivation is very serious, and the Fa has requirements for Dafa cultivators. I solemnly state here: All of my conduct which did not comply with Dafa, including hospital proof, signature, etc., are invalid. I will sincerely follow Master's instruction and do what a Dafa disciple should do to catch up with the Fa-rectification process. I will redouble my efforts to make up for the loss caused to Dafa.

I am a policeman and came to know some Dafa practitioners when I went to stop the hongfa [introducing Dafa to the public] activities held in our local county at the end of March, 1999. After their introduction, I began to cultivate. My body and mind have benefited and my moral standard has improved through cultivation.

I was involved in some actions such as destroying Dafa materials, and later went through tests arranged by the evil old forces. Because I failed to understand the Fa from the Fa's perspective during this test, and still had the attachments to fear and comfort, etc., I signed the "Warrant for no more cultivation and practice of Falun Gong." Now I realize my mistake all at once and claim all the "warrants" I signed are invalid. I will return to my cultivation path in Fa-rectification, and compensate for the losses I caused to Dafa with more effort.
