On the evening of Tuesday, July 15^th, practitioners in Montreal, Canada gathered in Zhongshan Park in Chinatown and held a rally with the theme, "Together Let Us Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong By Jiang Zemin." They called upon kindhearted people around the world to unite and stop the persecution that has been going on for four years. A candlelight vigil was also held to remember those who have been persecuted to death because they upheld the truth and refused to give up their belief in Falun Gong.

At the rally, practitioners listed the numerous crimes committed by the Jiang faction, and the great efforts various governments and organizations are making to support Falun Gong and help stop the persecution.

Practitioners also talked about their own experiences, telling people that Falun Gong is good and calling for an end to the persecution.

Ms. Li Jinyu exposed the persecution of her family and called on people to help rescue her brother Li Chun. She said, "Since Jiang started the persecution, my family members have been subjected to frequent arrest and detention. My husband Li Shenli was detained for two years just because he appealed to the government. My husband's brother Lin Mingli was arrested while he was paying telephone bills and he was also detained at a labor camp for two years. My husband's sister and my own sister and brother have been arrested and detained many times. My sister was once handcuffed behind her back and hung up for three days and nights. During the past four years, six of our family members have been persecuted. The only reason is that they practice Falun Gong. Recently my brother Li Chun was taken away again, just because he told people that Falun Gong is good and that the so-called self-immolation in Tiananmen was staged. He was sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor 'education'."

During the rally, many tourists and pedestrians stopped to watch and listen. Some asked for materials and read them carefully. We saw that many people are awakening. When more and more people know the truth, see through the evil and criminal nature of Jiang, and honor "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance," the persecution will end.

As the curtain of night fell, practitioners lit candles, and each held a picture of a deceased practitioner. In the end, practitioners concluded the rally by singing a song entitled, "In Remembrance of Dafa Disciples Who Have Sacrificed Their Lives."
