The Words "Falun Dafa Is Good" Echo Throughout the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net)

On August 22, 2002, a meeting for the "Re-organization of work place disciplines" was held at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Since it was only a charade to intensify the persecution of Dafa practitioners, we protested by not attending the meeting. The prison guards and collaborators (former Dafa practitioners who have turned against Dafa under pressure) at the Labor camp dragged us from wherever we were to attend. At the time, dense dark clouds hovered over the labor camp above while heavily armed police surrounded the meeting site.

During the meeting, the director of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp announced extended sentences for Dafa practitioners Li Dongqing, Li Liming, and Song Caihong. We were all shocked. Since being sent here in October 1999, the three practitioners had been exhaustively tortured for not succumbing to the evil and renouncing their practice. However, just when their three-year terms were coming to a close, they were being sent to Dabei Prison in Shenyang City for further persecution.

We, Dafa practitioners detained here in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for our unwavering faith in "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance," were inhumanly tortured. We were forced to squat in confined cubicles for extended periods of time, subjected to sleep deprivation, physical and verbal abuse, shocks with electric batons, and sometimes to a 24 hour a day barrage of brainwashing blasted over loudspeakers at high volume. In the frigid winter, we were shackled outdoors to freeze, while in the intense heat of summer, driven to work the fields. We worked like slaves making handmade clothing and handicrafts. We were given corn and preserved vegetables to eat. Each day we were only allowed to use the toilet twice, and were publicly humiliated when we could no longer control our bladders and wet our pants. Determined Dafa disciples were not allowed to make phone calls or write letters. Our letters of appeal were seized. When our family members traveled thousands of miles to visit, they were not allowed to see us. When Dafa practitioners were released from squatting in the confined cubicles, they had difficulty walking or looking after themselves due to the excruciating pain in their legs, feet and hands. The number of Dafa practitioners severely tortured in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp is too high to tally. Some were so ruthlessly tortured and became so psychologically scarred that they could no longer interact normally. Some were sent to mental hospitals for further torture. Others went on hunger strikes for more than 100 days in protest; the police kept force-feeding them throughout their hunger strikes.

When the director of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp announced extended sentences for Li Dongqing, Li Liming, and Song Caihong, the entire meeting room resounded "Falun Dafa is good" from the outcry of the Dafa practitioners. The police were shaken up. They attempted to shut us up by covering our mouths with adhesive tape, beating and kicking, and strangling our throats. After they cuffed and dragged us out of the meeting place, some practitioners were confined to small cubicles, and others were sent to the first floor to be dealt with sternly. Still others had their terms of incarceration illegally extended for two to four months.
