Most Public Officials Who Persecute Falun Dafa Are Corrupt

(Clearwisdom.net) Geng Shouling, the head of the Security and Protection Brigade of the Huaiyang County Public Security Bureau in Henan Province, was one of the chief people responsible for aggressively persecuting Falun Gong. During his tenure, he not only illegally abducted Dafa practitioners and ransacked their homes, but also extorted money from practitioners, etc. He is currently under arrest and is being investigated due to his involvement in the following case of Ren Wei.

Ren Wei was a former deputy political commissioner in the Huaiyang County Public Security Bureau. After July 20, 1999, his specific assignment was to persecute Falun Gong. He went to Beijing to arrest Dafa practitioners many times. He confiscated practitioners property, abducted them and extorted money from them. He extorted tens of thousands of Yuan [average annual income is 6,000 Chinese Yuan per person in urban areas and less 2,000 Chinese Yuan in rural areas] from Dafa practitioners. During his time in office, he utilized his authority to do bad things, which included such things like extravagant wining and dining, visiting prostitutes, gambling, robbery, bribing people and accepting bribes, etc. The crimes he committed were so serious that the influence on people was quite bad. He is now serving a jail sentence for his crimes.

Chen Shoutao, the chief of Lutai Town Sub-Police Station of Huaiyang County in Henan Province, wantonly persecuted Dafa practitioners by following the arrangements of Jiang's faction. He often confiscated their property, abducted and extorted their money, and beat practitioners. A few days ago, he was fired during an investigation into his abuse of authority. He is now being investigated for the crimes of corruption he committed during his term of office.

[Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.]
