Partial List of Practitioners from Chenzhou City, Hunan Province Being Held Illegally and Indefinitely
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Lei Baoliang and Ms. Deng Guojun are both over 60 years old. On repeated occasions they were
illegally detained, brainwashed, and even placed in forced labor camps by the "610
Office"* because they practice Falun Gong. In June 2002, when Lei went to visit Deng, they both
were arrested by the "610 Office," and remain detained today. Mr. Liao Songlin is a 62-year-old retired employee from the Military Personnel Accommodation
Center of Chenzhou. He was arrested in August of 2002 by the "610 Office" and imprisoned
at the Chenzhou Detention Center. It has been reported that he went through a secret trial. However,
because police didn't have enough "evidence," his sentence was postponed. Liao is still
being illegally detained at the detention center. Ms. He Xuezhao worked at a school affiliated with Zixin Liyu River Electronics. She was arrested
before the CCP's 16th National Congress because she made truth-clarification materials.
During the detention, she was tortured with all sorts of torture instruments. Mr. Wu Jianmin was forced to leave his wife and child after July 20, 1999, since he was steadfast
in practicing Falun Gong. He was arrested prior to the CCP's 16th National Congress
because he made truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Huang Liying worked in the Chenzhou cigarette-making plant. The Security Department of the
plant sent her to the detention center for long-term detention simply because they suspected that
she might be involved in spreading truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Fan Liying is a teacher who worked in the Beihu District Kindergarten. She was arrested
during the 2003 Spring Festival while she was posting truth-clarifying materials outside. Ms. Hu Jianping worked in the tobacco section of the Chenzhou Cigarette Manufacturing Plant. She
has been illegally detained for an extended period of time because she refused to give up practicing
Falun Gong in the brainwashing class. Ms. Cao Shiyu was abducted and taken to the detention center during the 2003 Spring Festival. In addition, there are over ten practitioners from other regions who are being illegally detained
