Germany: Falun Gong Catches People's Attention at the Regensburg City Festival

(Clearwisdom.net)

Last weekend, the biennial Citizens' Festival was held in Regensburg, an ancient city on the bank of the River Danube in East Germany. The theme of this year's festival was "Walking to the Square." Many social groups gave exciting and colorful performances. Local practitioners set up a stage to introduce Falun Gong and Chinese culture to the people of Regensburg.

The Falun Gong exercise demonstration and the female practitioners' traditional Chinese dancing caught the attention of many people. Besides applauding enthusiastically, many people also took the opportunity to sign their names on a petition opposing the persecution of Falun Gong and supporting the lawsuit against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, who instigated this persecution.

Mr. Kayerna, one of the sponsors of Regensburg's social groups, invited local Falun Gong practitioners to participate in the Citizens' Festival. He told the media that he "thought the Falun Gong stand was very beautiful. They are very enthusiastic about this festival. I notice that the public is delighted to learn about a different kind of culture. This is also the purpose of our Citizens' Festival."
