Lanzhou University Life Science College Assistant Professor Mr. Bao Xinkang is Detained at Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Mr. Bao Xinkang, a male in his thirties, is an assistant professor at the Lanzhou University Life Science College.

Early on the morning of November 24, 2001, the City Police Department and the University security department broke into Bao's home to forcefully take him away. Under this pressure, Bao jumped out of the building in order to escape and broke his leg in the process. He was hospitalized as a result. After he came back from the hospital, the university kept pressuring him to give up his belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and even threatened to fire him. In November of 2002, Bao Xinkang was kidnapped to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. He went on a hunger strike to protest against the persecution. He is still detained at the brainwashing center and is suffering severe abuse.
