Sweden: Falun Dafa Catches People's Attention at the Middle Ages Festival in Gotland (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On Aug 6th 2003, Swedish Dafa practitioners went to Gotland
to take part in the annual Middle Ages Festival of Visby and to tell the local
people about Falun Dafa. Gotland is a small island in the East of Sweden, famous for
being a maritime base and for its beautiful scenery. The ancient city of Visby
is surrounded by an old stone wall, somewhat resembling the Great Wall of China.
Inside Visby are the ruins of many old churches. People from different countries
dressed in ancient clothes were walking through the old city on the day of the
festival. Whether practitioners practiced exercises in the park or
demonstrated them by the roadside, they caught the attention of passers-by, who
came over to ask for flyers. Practitioners grasped every opportunity to let
people know more about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution that is happening
in China. The practitioners' peaceful exercises caught the attention of
two ladies who were participating in the "Multi-Gateway Fair". They
asked the practitioners to join this fair on the weekend and then helped them to
find the fair coordinator. When the coordinator heard the facts about Falun
Gong, he invited the practitioners to take part in this fair and demonstrate the
exercises.
