A "610 Office" Attempt to Arrest a Dafa Practitioner Fails
(Clearwisdom.net) Several months ago, a city-level "610 Office,"* along with the city
police department and two local police stations, sent many policemen to search a
Dafa practitioner's home. This was done under the supervision of local
government officials and the police chief. The police failed in their mission
even though they made extensive efforts. This incident received much attention among local residents and the police
department. After witnessing the event, many local residents learned more facts
about Dafa and showed their sincere respect towards Dafa and Dafa practitioners.
Afterwards, the police reduced their efforts in persecuting Dafa practitioners.
A lot of police officers tried to find excuses not to go into the city to arrest
Dafa practitioners. In June or July, a person deceived by the government propaganda, called the
"610 Office" and reported that he thought that someone was practicing
Falun Gong. To his surprise, the response he got for the report was, "Do
you have evidence? We cannot do anything without evidence." These events occurred while the current policy was that the "610
Office" could arrest and sentence any suspected Falun Gong practitioners
without evidence in order to meet the "quota" set by Jiang's regime. August 6, 2003 * "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute
Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party
and all other political and judiciary systems.
