Essay For A High School Entrance Exam: My Wish

Note: This is a middle school student's essay for a high school entrance exam. Thinking only of saving sentient beings, she let go of all other concerns. With tears, she wrote down her wish, as she yearns for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.

According to this girl, she only hoped that justice could be given to her mother and to Falun Dafa. In such a vicious environment, she did not anticipate a high score, she only hoped the examination reviewers would read the essay. Actually, this essay fit well with the test's requirement.

My mother is a modest and diligent peasant who treats others with sincerity. After she found Falun Gong by chance, her decade-long leg pains disappeared. Since then, there have been many more smiles on her face--something that has brought sunshine to our lives.

In the summer of 1999, however, Falun Gong was labeled as a [slanderous term omitted] in China. This was deeply shocking news. Such a popular practice, which had benefited countless people, was banned. As a practitioner who had benefited from Falun Gong personally, my mother went to Beijing to appeal and to validate the Fa. She hoped that people would come to know the facts of Falun Gong. However, my mother was detained because of this. Moreover, she was detained seven times for being determined in her faith. During her detention, my mother was severely tortured. In an attempt to force her to stop practicing, the police shocked her with electric batons, and forced her to stand on the freezing ice, dressed only in underwear, etc. As a person who only wants to become a better person by following the principles of "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance," my mother endured all kinds of brutal, inhuman torture.

One day in January 2001, the police took my mother away again, and sentenced her to three years in a forced labor camp. With a firm faith in Dafa, and strong perseverance, my mother left the labor camp after 46 days. But after being persecuted for so long, my mother could no longer avoid the persecution, and she had to leave home. I do not know when I will see her again.

The distance between my mother and I seems far, but our hearts are always together. We are struggling so that more people will come to know the truth about Falun Gong. We will reunite one day in the future.

Police officers: when you brutally torture determined Falun Dafa practitioners, have you thought that, "Good will be rewarded with good, and evil will receive retribution?" At night, when it is time for you, your family, and your neighbors to go to bed, do you feel at ease with what you have done, and have you acted according to your conscience?

At all costs, I will always strive harder to let every Chinese person know that such a shameless thing has taken place in the holy land of China! Simply for their belief, people are being arrested, beaten, sent to forced labor camps, and even persecuted to death!

I hope all kind people can come to know the facts. Please wake up and don't be fooled and misled by the lies any longer.
