From the onset of our trip, because of pressure from the Chinese Embassy, the police eyed us suspiciously, no matter where we went. After they saw our righteousness, a lot of them called the Central Public Security Bureau in Seoul to report. The Seoul Central Public Security Bureau told them that after several years of observation, they know that Falun Gong practitioners are civilized and kind, and their activities are all peaceful. They also promised the local Public Security Bureau that Falun Gong practitioners definitely would not conduct any terrorist activities. So wherever Falun Gong practitioners go, the Seoul Central Public Security Bureau hopes that the local public security bureau will help and support the practitioners.

After giving such a reply, the Seoul Central Public Security Bureau called and told us the details on the morning of July 2. They also hoped that we would complete our activities smoothly and successfully.

In the afternoon of that very day, while we were walking to Andong Area in spite of the rain, the Andong police drove 50 miles to meet and welcome us. On the way he kept observing us, and after we sent forth righteous thought, he asked questions about Falun Gong. Practitioners explained Falun Gong to him in detail, and gave him materials and CDs about Falun Gong. After he learned the truth, he gave us a ride to the area that he was in charge of, and found us a hotel.

On July 12 we clarified the truth to the Cheongju Public Safety Bureau, and the Information Group chief emotionally said, "I have never imagined that you are so compassionate and so civilized, what else can we support if we do not support activities like this?" He also designated people to show us to the representatives' offices and media to clarify the truth.

On the morning of July 9, central route practitioners arrived at Juchang County (this is an administration level lower than city), a rural area, to clarify the truth. In order to explain well within a limited time, a practitioner showed a photo booklet page by page to the county clerk while talking. From the popularity of Dafa across the world to the evil persecution, from the touching story of western practitioners rectifying the Fa in Beijing to the multi-national lawsuit against Jiang, this county clerk listened attentively together with other staff members. When they discovered that our "Walk Across Korea to Clarify the Truth Team" also includes an elderly lady in her 80s, they were very impressed about the effectiveness of Falun Gong. While signing his name this clerk said with emotion, "Why is the Chinese government persecuting such a nice group? The dictatorship in China truly worries me..." All the employees who understood the truth signed their name on our petition letter.

After knowing the truth, the Jinshan County clerk signed his name and said, "You will succeed for sure, because you represent justice!"

On July 18, we went to Guoshan City government to clarify the truth, and received tremendous support from the city government. They not only signed their own names, but also saved a copy of the petition letter and signature form. They said they would collect signatures and mail it to us, and they also provided us with their detailed contact information.

The central route walking team was encouraged and supported by many citizens. On July 17 when we arrived at Lichuan, a local resident was very moved after learning the truth, particularly after learning that we came here on foot from Fushan Area. He brought some drinks for the practitioners, and told the crowd while pointing at Jiang Zemin's photo on the truth-clarifying materials, "This is Jiang is a very bad guy!" He also helped to collect signatures among citizens. Because there were too many people for him to explain clearly one by one, so he simply repeated, "Hurry up and sign your names, this is saving people, this is doing a good deed!" Many citizens with righteousness and compassion signed their names. One practitioner clarified the truth in a computer lab and the people there said, "We saw the news about you, and we support you!"

The west route practitioners also had many touching experiences. On a raining day, they stayed in a roadside shelter and ate some food, while clarifying the truth to the owner of the shelter. After learning the truth, the owner immediately brought them some traditional Korean pickled vegetables. Another time, when they were bypassing a watermelon stand, the owner gave them a large plate of watermelon, and kept saying, "You are working too hard! You are working too hard!" One night they stayed in a peasant's home and the hostess--an elderly lady, cooked them a big pot of rice. In the evening, when she saw the many blisters on a female practitioner's feet caused by the long hours of walking, she was very touched and gently massaged her foot with tears in her eyes, and saying, "You have been suffering, you have been suffering..." The next morning she got up very early to prepare breakfast for practitioners. Another time when practitioners were boiling instant noodles for their lunch, a young man who learned the truth felt very sorry that practitioners ate so simply while walking all the way here, so he brought bread and drinks for the practitioners.

There are so many touching stories. Wherever practitioners go the kind and sincere Korean people selflessly extend their supporting hands. All beings need "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and there is no national boundary in protecting righteousness.
