FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Company Illegally Dismisses Employees who Practice Falun Gong

FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Company, Ltd., located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, is financed and managed jointly by the China FAW Group and Volkswagen AG Germany. It has over 3,000 employees. Since July 20, 1999, this company has expelled over a dozen employees for practicing Falun Gong. The practitioners who were verified to have been dismissed include Ren Yueqiang, Li Rongze, Li Mingxia, Li Haifeng, Deng Hong, Tian Yan, Wang Jian, Jiang Longsheng, Wang Yongqing, etc. Others will be verified.

Wang Yanxin: Human Resources Department Manager, 432-5990321 (office), 5990320 (fax)

Qin Huanming: Company General Manager, 432-5990101 (office), 5750200 (fax)

Yang Daoping: Company Deputy General Manager, 432-5990201 (office), 5750400 (fax)

Liang Zhi: Party Committee Secretary and Head of the Workers' Union. This person is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong in the company.

Lu Linqui: Company's former General Manager, now the General Deputy in Shanghai for the German group of the Joint Engine & Transmission Company of Volkswagen AG Germany, Changchun Volkswagen and Shanghai Volkswagen

Ge Kai: Former Deputy General Manager in charge of Human Resources of the company

Lu Liansheng: Former Head of the Worker's Union of the company
