Karmic Retribution: Police Officer In Huaiyang County Sentenced To Long-Term Imprisonment

(Clearwisdom.net)

Ren Wei, the original Vice Political Chief of the Public Security Department and the Captain of the Transportation Team in Huaiyang County of Henan Province, had been very active in persecuting Falun Gong since July 20 1999. He was very brutal and cruel towards practitioners. Meanwhile, he collected a large amount of money during the persecution. He abducted a practitioner and then extorted 150,000 Yuan from that practitioner's family. (The typical monthly salary of an assembly worker is about 500 Yuan.) However, he didn't release the practitioner even after he received the money. The practitioner's family had to send him another 5,000 Yuan before he released that practitioner. His bad deeds are well known around Huaiyang County.

On May 16 2003, Ren Wei was arrested on charges of embezzlement, accepting bribes, misappropriation of public funds, buying stolen products, abusing his position, and committing bigamy. He was sentenced to twenty years' imprisonment. He was guilty of so many crimes. We can see that what kind of people the Jiang faction has been using to persecute Falun Gong. No wonder people say, "Take a look at Falun Gong practitioners and then look at those who persecute them. Then you'll see who is good and who is bad."

[Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.]
