Handan City "610 Office"* and the Public Security Judicial Department have violated Chinese and international law by illegally and secretly sentencing five Falun Gong practitioners to extended prison terms. The practitioners are:

Ms. She Qiaoling sentenced to 13 years

Mr. Liu Jun sentenced to 11 years

Mr. Li Mingtao sentenced to 11 years

Mr. Tong Cunshu sentenced to 5 years

Ms. Li Xiangling sentenced to 3 years, with suspended sentence of 4 years

* "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

In early August 2003, Suining City Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Yuhua was illegally arrested. On the morning of August 20, 2003, Suining No. 1 Middle School Dafa practitioner Deng Qiugui was abducted. Several practitioners from Suining City have encountered much difficulty lately, and a Dafa truth-clarification material production site was destroyed by the local police.

Fellow practitioners in our study group courageously clarified the truth on July 20 this year. Practitioners made 24 big banners with yellow background and red characters that read, "Stop Persecuting Falun Gong." Each banner was at least 3.5 meters long and 0.5 meter wide. Some practitioners who had previously not stepped forward to oppose the persecution made use of this opportunity to validate Dafa. Practitioners hung the 24 large banners in very public places, and covered more than half of the city. Each banner was cherished, and each one stood dignified to save senient beings and expose and frighten the evil.

Recently some Dafa practitioners in our area were forcibly enrolled in brainwashing sessions conducted by the Shanghai City Qingpu Legal System Education School. Each session lasts for a month, and those practitioners who refuse to go are illegally detained for extended periods of time. Each day practitioners are forced to continuously watch videos that are full of fabricated lies and deceit.
