A Letter from a French M.P to a Falun Gong Practitioner
Dear Madam, When you last spoke to my assistants, you raised our
awareness of China's brutal treatment of Falun Gong practitioners. I hope you fully understand, that I have been negotiating
with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Dominique de Villipin, and I have
reminded him to make every effort to utilize political and diplomatic means to
stop these basic human rights violations. Also I feel obliged to inform you that, as the Mayor of Saint
Max, I have strong concern for humanitarian issues. After a resolution on the
14th of November 1994, our city made the decision to protect young Tibetan nuns,
who had been detained as prisoners of conscience. I am continually concerned for the future of Tibetan nuns and
will regularly remind the Chinese authorities and the French Minister of Foreign
Affairs of their situation. The purpose of writing this letter is to let you know that I
will fully support your activities to stop the Persecution of Falun Gong in
China. Madam please accept my sincerest wishes. á
