Rongjie Sentenced to Eight Years Imprisonment During the night of December 30, 2002, three people from
Shuangta District Police Department and the Linghe Police Station, including Liu
Guozheng, deputy director of the Linghe Police Station, arrested Mr. Wu Rongjie
at a fellow practitioner's building entrance. At the Linghe Police Station, Wu's hands were handcuffed to a
bench for a whole night. The next day he was hung up by the wrists, with
handcuffs on, for a day at the National Security Team headquarters for the
Shuangta Police Department. Wu Rongjie didn't give in to the evil. At 5:00 p.m.
he was transferred to Wujiawa's No.1 Detention Center. During the detention period, the jumbled environment and
horrible conditions contributed to Mr. Wu contracting a serious illness for
which he received no treatment. Even after several months, he was not allowed to
be bailed out for hospitalization. On August 3, 2003, the Shuangta District
court held a secret trial at the detention center. They didn't inform Wu's
family members, so except for 20 police officers, no other people were present.
Wu Rongjie was carried to the court on a stretcher. He didn't sign on the
verdict. He was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment and is about to be sent
to Shenyang City's Dabei Prison. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Scheme for Another
Brainwashing Session Since the end of 2002, a department in Daqing City has been
ordering the Hongweixing Brainwashing Center to hold brainwashing sessions to
carry out persecution against Dafa practitioners in Daqing City. Over 20 Dafa
practitioners were put there; most of them were taken directly from their work
units. As Dafa practitioners in Daqing City had not done well acting
as one body, the evil brainwashing schemes have been carried out again and
again. They originally planned to call an end to the No. 5 Session. Now they are
scheming to hold a No.6 Session beginning on September 7. What's more, some
scoundrels from other places are coming to "visit and learn." [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioners are Held
at the Xindi Detention Center Dafa practitioners Ms. Lu Liangna, Ms. Li Zheng (pseudonym)
and Ms. Zhang Hongyan are now detained by Fuxin City's Xindi Detention Center
authorities. They have been severely tortured for more than four months. The
fiends severely beat Zhang Hongyan's leg. Li Zheng has been staging a hunger
strike. It's said that these practitioners will be sentenced in a week or two. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Sentence of Dafa
Practitioners Meng Qingxiang and Zhang Cuihua On January 18, 2003, Mr. Meng Qingxiang and Ms. Zhang Cuihua
went to Jianping County to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the public. In
Yebaishou Town they were followed by police and were later arrested. They
suffered inhumane torture at the Yebaishou Detention Center. On January 28,
personnel from the National Security Team from Jianping County Police Department
sent them back to Chaoyang City and detained them at Chaoyang City's Wujiawa
No.1 Detention Center. At the end of August 2003, Shuangta District's court
secretly sentenced Meng Qingxiang and Zhang Cuihua to eight years of
imprisonment. Now is their appealing period; however they are still detained at
the detention center. [Huludao City, Liaoning Provice] Illegal Forced Labor
Sentence for Several Dafa Practitioners from Nuanchitang Town in the Nanpiao
District 1. In the middle of July, lawless police officers from Nuanchitang Town
arrested Dafa practitioner Mr. Pei Guangxin from Huludao City. For more details

On July 19 Mr. Peng was sent to Huludao City Forced Labor Camp. His daughter,
who is a 3rd-grade student in a primary school had to be adopted by
her uncle. Her mother has been detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for
persecution since her second detention in 2002 for insisting on cultivating Dafa. 2. In July, Dafa practitioners Mr. Wen Yongku from Beibian Village,
Nuanchitang Town, Mr. Zhang Xilin and Mr. Yuan Jingtian from Yuantun Village
were arrested at the Nanpiao Detention Center from their home. For additional

Soon after, lawless police officers sent them to Huludao City Forced Labor Camp. 3. Dafa practitioner Ms. Gu Fengchun from Anchangxian Village
was arrested on April 29, 2003, and was released after going on a hunger strike.
Later, policemen from Nuanchitang Town went to her home to harass her from time
to time and attempted to put her into the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Recently,
these lawless policemen even went to the bazaar in Guangtun Town, Lianshan
District where she and her husband have a small business, to arrest her. Gu

Practitioner Ms. Cao Xianglan Ms. Cao Xianglan was reported to authorities because she
clarified the truth of Falun Gong in her work unit. On August 19, 2003, persons
from the Guancheng District Nanguan Police Precinct arrested her at home. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Two Big Faluns Appear
Above the City At about 8:20 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. on August 20th, two big
Faluns appeared successively above Zhucheng City. Witnesses said that the first
Falun was yellow. Later, a big rotating Falun in blue was also seen. A
six-year-old girl, a little practitioner, saw Master holding up a palm. At about
10:00 p.m., a red glow appeared above the city, then slowly faded. Many people
saw this when it happened. It was not the first time such a phenomenon happened
in Zhucheng City.
