(Clearwisdom.net) In many articles, fellow practitioners discussed the importance of denying the old force's arrangement with our every single thought. Recently, a fellow practitioner I know was persecuted again, prompting me to raise this issue anew.

Several days ago, after a fellow practitioner was released, I had a chance to discuss the root cause of her arrest with her. She said, "I really can't find the reason why I was arrested from myself . Although sometimes I was less diligent in practicing the exercises, I never overlooked studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts. I could enter into tranquility when sending forth righteous thoughts. I was also doing Dafa work. So what's going on?" I said, "Did you have any thoughts that went along with the old force's arrangement?" She said, "Right! Maybe that's the reason. Before they arrested me, I sometimes thought, 'If they come after me, how shall I escape?' Now that I think about it, this thought is wrong." I agreed with her analysis. Before we reach the end of cultivation, small attachments are not serious enough to become excuses for the evils to persecute us, because Master is looking after us. However, the wrong thoughts in practitioners' minds became an excuse for the old forces to persecute us. (Of course, we shouldn't rule out other possibilities that we haven't realized) So, let us look at this thought.

First, this thought [how shall I escape?] is acknowledging the existence of the old forces, acknowledging their evil arrangements and giving them opportunities to arrange our persecution. Secondly, it shows our righteous thoughts are not strong and powerful. Master said, "As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are strong enough the old forces can't do a thing." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")

Since the old forces arranged Dafa disciples' paths, including our every single thought a long time ago, we must be prudent and thorough when eliminating them. We should take more effort to study the Fa and let Master's Fa become firm and solid in our minds. Use the Fa as a filter in our mind to judge if our thoughts are right or wrong. At the same time, we should listen to fellow practitioners' understanding from reading Clearwisdom Net articles. I think the Clearwisdom Net articles on denying the old force's arrangements in every thought are very righteous and we should pay attention to them. When we have a thought, we should take a close look at it: Is it righteous? Does it meet Master's and Dafa's requirement? Would Master arrange it this way? Who benefits? If it's not arranged by Master we should firmly refuse it and firmly eliminate it with righteous thoughts.

If the evil field is too strong to be eliminated at once, we should sit down and send forth righteous thoughts for a long time until we completely eliminate the thoughts, the logic and thinking arranged by the old forces and eliminate all evil elements in our own dimensional field, until our hearts are calm and pure, and we are free from these wrong thoughts. Sometimes a thought appears righteous but is in fact wrong. For example, when reading articles about fellow practitioners' courageous acts under severe persecution, I told myself: If I come across the same situation, I would do the same. When some fellow practitioners didn't do well, I would think: If I was him, I would have done this and that, etc. This kind of thought was not arranged by Master. They provide no benefit to our effort in validating the Fa and saving people. Such thoughts should not exist at all for Dafa practitioners whose efforts are magnificent and sacred. Some practitioners say, "No matter what happens tomorrow, I must do well today. Even if I get arrested tomorrow, I'll clarify the truth and save people just the same." Their words are very touching.

Many practitioners who were forced to leave home are doing very important Dafa work; they are facing the possibility of arrest at any time. But they have no fear, even for their lives. Their hearts are precious like gold. However, I think that their thoughts are still mixed with logic arranged by the old forces. Their thoughts are not righteous enough. Their righteous thoughts are not very strong. All these should be corrected. Later on, many of those practitioners were indeed arrested and many Dafa materials production sites destroyed. Aside from other causes, such dangerous thoughts may be the old force's excuse to "test" us.

The second root cause is also very critical, which is that our righteous thoughts are not strong enough. Master said, "So when it comes to those evil beings and their arrangements, as long as your righteous thoughts are strong enough you can reject them, repel them, and make them helpless." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")

What do we need to do that can be called strong righteous thoughts? Remember what Master said, "But all the same, Master doesn't acknowledge them. And you shouldn't acknowledge them either. Do things well in an upright and dignified way, negate them, and strengthen your righteous thoughts some. 'I'm Li Hongzhi's disciple, I don't want other arrangements or acknowledge them'--then they won't dare to do that. So it can all be resolved. When you can really do that, not just saying it but putting it into action, Master will definitely stand up for you." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference") Besides, we have cultivated to the present stage already, and not much of our surface human side is left. Our divine side is extremely great, magnificent, and beautiful. We should just treat ourselves as divine beings and rectify all that is not righteous. Don't let human notions limit and obstruct our godly sides from rectifying the Fa. During Fa-rectification, many practitioners created miracles with divine righteous thoughts and righteous actions, and we should learn from them. Every time I send forth righteous thoughts, I treat myself as a great enlightened being with boundless illumination and mighty power to harmonize a very large dimension. Everywhere my gong reaches, all evil and demons are destroyed. The outcome is very good.

Many reports say that many places are trying to or are currently holding brainwashing classes. If every Dafa practitioner has strong righteous thoughts, "We are Fa-guarding gods and we rectify all the wrong things. If evils in other dimensions emerge, we will completely eliminate them." "We do not allow the brainwashing class to happen." Dafa practitioners' words become reality. The brainwashing class would be eliminated before it opens up.

Also, I suggest that practitioners don't use "Dafa work takes higher priority" as an excuse to neglect Fa study and sending forth righteous thoughts. Other than urgent assignments, most Dafa work is not that time-sensitive. The old Chinese proverb says, "Sharpening the knife doesn't slow down the chopping of firewood." Therefore we shouldn't push others or put a quota on a workload. Especially when we feel there are a lot of evil elements and our pressure is high, we should stop our work, study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts and calm our hearts. Do the work in firm steps to ensure that we have a solid foundation, so we can maximize our power in Fa-rectification.
